    The Derby blade is still holding up very well so I was able to get a very good shave - no complaints at all!

    2020-10-14, Wednesday

    Last night I enjoyed a film that I would save among the milestones of the history of cinema: Rio Bravo.

    On Christmas 1959 my uncle, the painter, and his wife came to celebrate Christmas in Genoa and, after lunch, invited me to go to the movies.
    There were two films that appealed us: 'Rio Bravo' and 'Maigret et l'Affaire Saint-Fiacre' and he left the choice to me.
    When I was 13 I didn't want to look like a child and, instead of choosing the western film, I chose the mystery one.
    A bad choice!
    In those days I wasn't interested in acting or directing skills, but only the action and that film certainly didn't shine to convey emotions of that kind.
    We were both bored: when we returned, the other relatives asked how the film had been and he said: -Beautiful film! All the time there was an actress playing dead!-
    In fact, an actress of the caliber of Valentine Tessier had not had the opportunity to bring out her skills!

    When we went to see it with my parents, my father bought the record with the soundtrack, the famous Deguello, arranged by Dimitri Tiomkin!
    A 78 rpm that we played on the gramophone/bar, a delight of the '50s!

    It's a pity that Hawks couldn't resist the temptation of putting in some songs performed in a 'modern' way, but with two singers in the cast...

    And speaking of resisting temptations, I couldn't resist Brutal Bra!
    And I didn't regret it!

    Perhaps I should insure my face: Angie Dickinson, who, in those days, had insured her legs for a million dollars!

    fabulous set up and pic Sergio,cool memory..:cool:i remember going to the movies with my dad during the 70s in england.we would go to the bond films.my brother would go ice skating with mom..:D

    After mom died, I tried to distract dad and remember we both loved old Disney's cartoons.
    The theater was full of adults with children, but... all parents looked at us like saying -I'm here just for the kids!-.

    Razor: Razorock game changer .84- Mfg 2018>Excellent razor with a Kai SS (7) blade combo, very smooth.
    Blade: KAI SS (7) Excellent blade, .009"of inch wider than a standard blade, Sharp& Smooth with longevity!
    Soap: Razorock The Dead Sea- Unique scent with great lather qualities.
    Brush: Yaqi 26mm tuxedo knot- excellent brush for creating lather quickly with cloud like soft tips. very nice big knot.
    Pre shave: Brush wash my whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
    Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
    Post shave: Razorock The dead Sea Aftershave with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
    Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= [​IMG] Excellent shave with my RR GC.84 + KAI blade combo.
