Now that I've got you all buttered up....

    How are your tiling skills?

Tiling, you betcha! I love to place tiles. I'm not so fond of grouting and sealing, but setting tiles is a blast! What're you tiling?

You're not letting Jenna boss you around again, are you?

That's a really ambitious job. Must be a mess... hope you've got a spare!

Well.......it's hard to tell such cuteness "no". :ashamed001

Oh my, yes! If there wasn't a spare, we wouldn't be tackling this job. We took it down to the studs, and the only thing going back in is the toilet.

I found old DE blades, too. Though there wasn't (but will be soon) a medicine cabinet. I'm guessing whoever worked on the bathroom last must have taken out the old medicine cabinet, and never bothered putting in a new one. Why? I have no idea. That bathroom is soooo small every bit of storage makes a difference.

You will be a happy camper when this is complete, I'll bet... There's nothing quite like a nice, new bathroom to brighten up a house. Are you making anything special to facilitate shaving goody storage? Somehow, I envision the barbershop-pole brush holder near your shower...

Hey, how's your new life coming along? Is it still fairly easy? I know that I had a really easy time of it, but had some moments that were, um, not easy at all...

Oh, I will be sooo happy! :happy108
The old stuff was so unbelievably horrid. Nasty really.
I'll be doing my best to maximize all available storage I can fit into a 5x8 space. Though 4 of that 8 is taken up by the shower/tub, and I will not be putting a wall cabinet back in the shower/tub.
Not much room for a barber pole brush holder unfortunately.

Despite the "joys" of renovation, it's actually going pretty darn smooth. It helps when you can take a hammer to something. ;)
    Thanks for asking. :agelic13

Time for sleeping. Lots more to do tomorrow. Night, Tom, and anyone hiding in the shadows!

Something much better... something with a few u's a lynx and a big 10. Unfortunately the download is very very very slow. I gave up at home, DSL times were terrible. I am now downloading it here at school to make an installation disk for home. It has been downloading for 5 hours and still has an hour to go.

So, if I install from the disk, will it set it up as a separate OS in grub, or will it just update the Koala? I have always done a clean install on my portables but the desktop has always just been an update from the manager.

ditto... but I just got out of the bathroom... so maybe things will look up. No... I doubt it. I just want to fall asleep and I have to go back to school from 7pm-9pm.

Coffee just out of the Aeropress....

BTW... after 8 hours the downloaded image was corrupt. ugh... trying again...

Thanks for your concern. Actually, the weather got a little catzendogs earlier, but it hasn't been too bad. A little lightning here and there, but not go-hid-in-a-ditch bad or anything.

The concert was really good, though, and somehow made the day a little better. The acoustics were awesome in the center, and the players were really good. It was a string quartet and they played some Shastikovitch followed by some Brahms. It was cool. There was a very small crowd (maybe 20 people) and so the whole thing felt very intimate. It was pleasant.

Picked this up for a fiver. I haven't seen one quite like it before, so I figured what the hey. They actually had a few razors that were interesting, but a little rich for my blood, including an autostrop with the case. It's an Eveready. It says Pat7D 1912 surrounding where the handle screws in. I'm not entirely certain that it has the proper handle but it was calling to me.

    So, did I get taken?

yes, yes you did...a coke and a coffee - you're just looking for trouble!

(great find on the razor, though :D. as for good deal or bad deal, I don't know SE's well enough to say)

no. most definitely not. you might try posting those pics at theoriginalsafetyrazor site and see if anyone can I.D. it.

Handle looks wrong, like maybe it's missing an outer shell or something- like when someone screws a two piece DE together with just the base and the top.

and I had quite a carpy day. the wife's having tooth pain, she broke her glasses (yesterday, not today) and the weather was bad so the kids stayed indoors and drove us nuts. Parishioner-drama's heating up at work, making it a not fun place to be either, esp. since the Bishop's taken sides and made everything worse.

Some days you're the fire hydrant. Other days you're the pee.
