Today's Mail included a Gold Tech and case, which for under $7.00 including tax and shipping I couldn't pass up. Also from @Douglas Carey, a Navy Brass brush handle, and it's heavy. I did use a very fine sanding sponge to make the raised areas satin and give the handle some contrast.................
Almost lost these ones.... I wasn't informed that they were shipped FedX until I was sent the tracking number. FedX of course screwed it up. The email said delivered. Only it was delivered to the wrong house. After I walked the road, I found them. Imagine losing 1000 Feather Blades. But there they are. tp
Today’s swap meet finds. The Red and Black with a New short comb and the Super speed package deal $15 I think this is actually my first New SC I love how the plating comes off and leaves a copper finish on these. The contract appeals to me. The Tech G4 $5. This will be going to @PLANofMAN if it meets his needs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
I Love my WDC7 brush handle. It is the Heavy weight in his handles. Awesome sauce is all I can say. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
My other haul for the day. Not shaving exactly. I will however use them for repair restoration and the likes of razors and razor products. 1952 Milwaukee Delta 14” band saw. With a 1/2 ho Heavy duty craftsman resistor motor 110 or 220. I love old Craftsmen motors it runs to boot. While I was picking that up. I got to chatting with the fellow. Come to find out his father passed and he now has the chore of liquidating his father and grand father’s extensive shop. He asked if I was in the market for anything else. Silly question to ask me. Anyhow picked up a pair of dual shaft grinders. One being a Baldor (king of grinders) and a Milwaukee. I told him I was really interested in the grinders but I had not much money left. Doe to my razor purchases. He said he would take $30 for them. I must have been really nice this week. As I had exactly $34 left. All these need to be cleaned up and will have some buffing wheels put on at least one of the grinders. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Great haul. I have a bandsaw just like that one that I redone. If you have to replace the bands on the wheels let me know. I have a trick.
didn't you score a president ? the new deluxe shares the same baseplate.it also shares the new long comb blade clamping design.
I checked. They actually are still in one piece I bought it thinking I may need to replace all of the bearings and bands. Possibly a motor. Looks like it will be a couple of days tearing down and stripping for repaint. Once I get it fully apart. I am sure I will be replacing the bands. If you don’t mind shoot me a PM with your tips and what bands you bought. I will need to pick up some cover knobs. As they do not match. Or I might turn up 4 brass ones. That would look better.
