A great shave to start the day. A nice lather with a wonderful scent and 3 easy passes with the Short Comb. I didn't actually remember what blade I put in there, but do know it was fresh last time. I think it is a PermaSharp, but didn't bother looking. If I'm not perfectly smooth, I'm not very far from it. A face rub a few hours later reveals maybe a little bit left on the lower neck, I suppose. As usual, this Fine splash in a nice match for the soap. I had meant to use the EdT sample that came with it (and got forgotten in the Den's catch all drawer), but quite honestly I forgot.
PS- My eyes seem to be getting a little worse as I age- I didn't see the cobweb on the fire engine until looking at the pic just now. JLuc, this is why I'm not in your photo-taking sphere...maybe I should sign up for Clint's class after all.:happy088:
    Have a great day all!

    Otto Roth NEW LC
    Tiger Platinum (1)
    Omega 11126 Boar
Henri et Victoria Cognac and Cuban Cigars Shaving Soap
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Alt-Innsbruck Aftershave

I haven't used this soap in a while, which is a shame because it has a wonderful scent and great performance. Off the puck it smells a tad on the sweeter side, but after a great face lather is built, the dryer cigar scent comes to the forefront. Maybe the cognac aspect leads the initial scent off the puck?

The Tiger Platinum blade is a new one to me that I received free from a past Fendrihan order. It worked well today - smooth and sharp with no tugging - even ATG. I'll most likely use up the other 4 blades from the tuck in other razors to check its consistency.

2 passes with the Otto Roth provided a comfortable and efficient shave with no irritation or mishaps. Finishing with the Alt-Innsbruck was icing on the cake for this most excellent shave. :)

The cobweb just adds to the vintage feel of the picture. Great shave, Jason!
Beware that the application paperwork for Clint's classes are extensive... I suspect Jim's are such the same. :D

Congrats on the hat trick Paul! There's nothing wrong with going back to an area that needs to be picked up so you can get a great shave. Sometimes, we went over an area and we think it's great, but there are hairs that grow in every direction and they're not picked up because we go shave in the direction of due East, West, North and South in the normal 3 pass shave. Also, I might add that sometimes we don't load enough soap on the brush that we need to go back for more soap. There's nothing wrong with it. The mindset that you have to do everything without making corrections is wrong. Remember, unless you are shaving and recording for YouTube subscribers, it's only you that needs to be satisfied in what you're doing. The goal is to get the best shave possible as the situation warrants it Anyway, it's enough of my rambling. Have a great day Paul!

Decanter: Scrimshaw Whale Tooth Decanter (Sound Fast) Product ID #3835 or #3838

This is one of my favorite Old Spice Decanters. There were six styles of Scrimshaw Decanters sold from 1974-1976. The bottles sported simulated scrimshaw depicting whaling or sailing imagery. Packaging was a clear plastic with the decanter on a silver plastic base. Each decanter held 6 ounces of Cologne. This item is full of Old Spice Cologne.
I really like the Black white, black white on the knot combination. Great shave today.

    Good morning guys!

    Shavette shave #209
    Parker SRB
    Rockwell 1/2 DE Blade (5)
    Omega Pro 49 Boar Brush
    Razorock XX SS
    Pinaud Clubman Lilac Vegetal
    Whiskers: 48 hrs

Everything worked well. I haven't used this soap because it really doesn't have a discernable scent. It's almost like an unscented soap. However, it does make a nice lather and that's the main purpose of shave soaps. Did 2.5 passes to get a BBS- shave without any issues of blood or any irritation. Splashed on the Veg and I am smelling great. Have a great day guys! 20201019_201659.jpg
