The Emperor's New Groove. Saturday night is movie night with the kids. That movie is still as hilarious as I remember!
Greyhound, with Tom Hanks, in fact I watched it twice, last week. a 99% continuous action movie, about WWII Cross Atlantic Shipping. It's not for everyone, but if your a WWII buff, or a combat at Sea buff, this is a Great Movie!
That is a very interesting question and one that I hadn't even considered. One of the most interesting aspects of this film, with respect to the 4 different "versions" of the event, is the subtle ways each character changes to suit the narrator. As a huge fan of Toshiro Mifune, I was, naturally, drawn to his, what some may call: overacting. His stage present is astounding, and considering that this file is from 1950, having really just begun what would be an astounding filmography, quite unrefined. Raw, you might say. So, that "story" was quite well done. The wife's acting was over the top. This is a film that demands multiple viewings, so while I haven't really answered your question, suffice it to say, that Kurosawa ranks as one of my all-time favorite directors, along with John Ford, Billy Wilder, David Lean and Carol Reed.
I was kidding. It's supposed to be one of those questions that objectively can't be answered. Everybody's point of view of the event is valid...from their own POV. Unreliable narrators and all that.
