oh buddy... I'm actually really hesitant to put any cute pictures of my kids up on the internet. You never know how long they're going to be around or *who* is looking at them or for what purpose. My vocation is going to traumatize them enough. I don't want to add to that.

I'm very particular with pics of my family I put up, and I've requested other family members to consult me or my wife before putting pics of our kids on facebook and such.

I'm not that picky about myself, for A) I avoid cameras like the plague, so there's not that many pics of me anyway, B) it's a rather extreme circumstance that I'd be willing to have my picyure up anyway, and C) I'm ugly enough I'm not too worried about getting kidnapped :happy102
(and no one would capture for my money, they'd instantly be as broke as me - so sure, I'll share the debt with 'em)

 

I hear you about that last one. You know the definition of a daddy, right? "Carries pictures of his kids where his money used to be..."

I'm a very (very, very, very, keep going and you get the idea) minor public figure. It's just the nature of things that my picture's out there. I chose my life and knew what I was getting into. I don't want to put that kind of scrutiny (small as it may be) on my kids.

And- my brother had a really creepy event two years back where a weirdo got into his picture galleries on his blog. My brother had posted all kinds of family photos. Following that event he stepped up security on his blog 100%. I've never known what the weirdo did but it sure scared my brother, and he's not one to scare easy.

 

yeup, that's one of the sacrifices of choosing to obey God in som circumstances, that sometimes our preference for anonymity isn't an option - but He'll always give us the wisdom to best handle it....if we let Him

 

Let's not forget that there are those weirdos out there that have image editing software and enjoy getting up to nefarious deeds...

You are completely correct, sir. I wasn't suggesting that you troll them out here for us to see, just that someday, when a young suitor comes to call (and seems serious), that it might be effective to show him that your little angel is perfectly capable of turning Happy into, well, you know... and that she's had a lifetime of practice.

My little girl is 30 now. I've had decades of worrying about her. It does not get any better...

Our interests fall out of the norm enough that I am afraid that our use of such a term would refer to the neurotypical rest of society. Which is about as accurate as we can be with the describing them anyway. So.. .umm... carry on. Oh yeah... kewl pic
