    i have read in places to avoid the vdh cream and only use the hard soap..if regular basic lathering procedures don't allow it to build fine lather i would dump it..just my opinion of course..it may not like harder water types as well..:)

    Joe - are you referring to the gallery on my phone. If so, the picture on the phone is in the correct position. I am going to experiment tomorrow. Today's picture was taken vertically, as was yesterday's. I am going to take tomorrow's hold the phone horizontally. I am wondering if the phone orientation impacts how it is presented here when I upload it. It should not. So the scientist in you would probably say something like this:
    If the phone is held in the horizontal position, then there will be no change in it's presentation when posted on TSD.

    Hypithesis is correct. For some reason vertical orienation pictures are rotated and presented incorrectly.

    Thanks, Joe! I think the blade waviness may have caused past scratchy shaves. I'm still not sure how this is caused - the head and baseplate are flat and the waviness in the blade is not uniform (almost looks wrinkled).

    About that...

    I mailed those off Monday, forgot to send you the tracking number and both lost the receipt and forgot all about it.

    You should be getting them today or tomorrow. The receipt said Friday, but the last time I sent something to you it got there a day early.

    You will be the first to try a slant Devette. I was both too busy packing to move and intimidated. For the record, I've shaved with the Barbe Bleue X Devette before.

    Thank you Jason. You are too kind. Doug is the outdoor photo King. I pulled the DSLR out for the last couple of weeks. The pictures with the phone are good but the DSLR does take better photos.
