Blood in the bathroom. Not a great way to start the day.
I got a new Astra blade out this morning to load in the Bird. I was holding the blade by the end tabs with my right hand when some how my ring finger on my left hand got in the way. Nice gash about a half an inch across the tip of my finger. Bleeding like a stuck pig I grabbed some toilet paper and tried to control the bleeding. After I grabbed my composure I started to hunt the band-aids. After about ten minutes with no success I had to get my wife involved. Lessons learned this morning. Slow down, be more careful and keep the band-aids in the drawer in the bathroom.
Even with the mishap the shave was awesome this morning. The Bird was all shiny and does an excellent job with the Astra. The Razorock soap is just amazing at its price point. Finished the shave off with some American Tobacco by Andy Hilfiger.
The brush in today's shave is a maple turning by Greydog
@SWR913. He turned some cherry brush handles for me last year and sent this one with the cherry ones. My son has claimed this one. The knot is synthetic and is temporarily. I have a few horse hair brush knots on the way in from Shave Forge to see how they will look in this handle and a cherry handle.
I am ok. The bleeding has stopped but my pride took a hit which it probably needed.

No blood was shed on the Bird.
Take care every one and please no more blood letting this morning.
