1)Well there is your problem Micah. Teachers are often worse than the students. I can get a a group of middle school students through a computer procedure easily enough and can probably herd a group of cats through the same procedure quicker than I can a group of fellow teachers. As a group, we really are about as terrible as the press constantly slander us as being (just not about the points the press is always arguing about). 2) See, that there is the reason that I refuse to go out in crowds. You never know when they are going to break out in some musical montage and I would end up not knowing the moves and being singled out by the alien creatures wearing the people suits. It is much safer being a hermit and curmudgeon. 3)Video is having problems playing. Its interesting but only streaming in 10-15 second sections... Verizon DSL keeps getting slower and slower. There are days that I seriously thing the old analog modem might be faster. I can't wait to see what happens to lack of DSL support once the deal with frontiernet is finalized. blah..... maybe it is time to invest in internet by smoke signal technology. Speaking of which, I should probably have internet for a few more days until the switchover and switch off. OK, made it back from the camping trip, shaved off the 4-5 day growth, and now off to a day at work. I have a classroom of stuff to move to another classroom before tomorrow.
the onion does the news better than most of the major "real" news outlets. Post Katrina, they ran a series of articles about the storm that got to the heart of that disaster better than anyone else.
