Thanks, Andrew! I never noticed a thing. That was my only razor, Barbasol once and done. Every shave was quick and single pass, just a task to get completed.

 

Picked up something at the flea mall today for a Brut fan on the 30DC.

PM me if interested and we will work something out. I would like to do a little trading if possible. You might have a razor I need.

I don't mind brute but my wife thinks of Brut like Clint's wife thinks if Clubman.

Who needs 25.6 ounces if Brut? The bottle is full and the date on the back off the bottle states 2011.

I did not notice it till I got home but there is small dent in the cap.

Is it the alcohol contact Jason?

 

Yes, it is technically illegal to send anything with alcohol internationally (except for a package from Florida a few years ago...). I only live an hour or so from the border and have had stuff just sent to a shipping outlet there, but as the border is closed for the foreseeable future, it wouldn’t make sense to do so.

 

No shave today, but I got the plating setup out today. The varnish on early Gillette razors can be difficult to remove. I use a cathodic process in an alkali bath. This is the solution after just two razors.

Prep: Warm shower / Original Source ~ Tingly Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel.


Pre:

Cold wet flannel to my face.
Simple ~ Sensitive Bar Soap + Wilko Men's shave Oil.
Brush: Wilkinson Sword Boar.
Bowl Lather.
Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Uber/Superlather: Williams Mug Shaving Soap + The Body Shop Maca Root Shave Cream.
Blade: Bolzano Superinox Inossidable. (2)
Razor: Parker 87r.

Post:

Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade peppermint lavender eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Witch Hazel Mixture./Brut ~ ASL/ Boots ~ Freshwood ASB.

A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

The Bolzano SI paired together wonderfully with the parker 87r making a smooth efficient duo...Another very comfortable 3 pass + pick ups near BBS shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a generous dollop of Boots ~ Freshwood ASB.

My face is feeling silky smooth & smelling divine.

What a difference a day make weather wise. Yesterday, upper 60’s, perfect day for soccer and yard work. Today, a brisk wind and a Fall chill in the air, not so perfect day for a trip to the NY Aquarium and the Prospect Park Zoo in Brooklyn with my son and granddaughter.

Today’s shave felt like perfection. Superb three pass injector shave. Mixed in a little OSR to provide a chill. I guess I am preparing for the outdoors today.
