I feel your pain, man. We've had a bout where we both were unemployed for several months and we were already skating on thin ice when it happened. Long story short, we had one card go into "bad debt" and we're in a DMP to pay off the rest. That one bad card is still haunting us. But we've only got about a year left to finish off the DMP! Hang in there guy. It sucks.

As depressing as that is, I feel guilty for finding it funny.

I hate this time of day. It's the magical fulcrum point where it's too late to start anything and too early to call it a day. So you have to find stuff to make you look busy. There should be a name for this time of day...

    The Point of No Productivity
    The Magical Fulcrum
    The Sandtrap hour
    Dry Dock
    Failover point

    What do you call it?

I like the Fulcrum one most, but I'm not sure "magical" captures the feeling best....I'll have to lay my massive linguistic repertoire on it for a minute...

    maybe the Abstruse Fulcrum?

How about Moment of Productivity Defenestration? or MPD for short.

Actually, there are lots of MPDs throughout any given day.

dang, now I'm liking an "M" word for it, besides magical, that will have a sortof play on words with Millennium Falcon...

    Craptastic Point?
    Fubar Fulcrum?
    Snafu time?

    point of no purpose?

    yup...in honor of D.A.

    How about...
    Petunia time?
    Ground time?
    Whale thump time?
    Sudden wet thud time?
    Oh No, not again time?

dunno why I am stuck on that scene..

    Illusion, doubly so time

Almost ran over a kitten TWICE just now!

Once on the way to pick up dinner, and once on the way home.

    I've named it Roadkill.

    I am so lucky...

My phone died a couple of days ago. Couldn't get it started to backup the data. I hadn't backed up since November. :ashamed001 When I pried the back off the replacement phone, I noticed it was a lot tighter than the old phone. So, I squeezed the old back a bit, and my phone came back to life - just backed up everything and am about to transfer it all over to the new phone. :D

yeah, quite a few, it'd probably be easier to go to the site in my sig and read them, though. I don't have any news that's not on there, but the short version:
they are working on her sitting in a wheelchair, even trying to have her stand
she's reacting to light coming through the window (very good thing)
dr.s think she may have a virus or something, and have put her in isolation just in case.
it's still baby steps at the moment, which is what it will be for quite some time, but things still look positive, even though the docs still have some concerns, but they've got to keep their mind on the worst-case scenario, just in case
