Great shave in Alabama this morning!

The King C. Gillette is a solid performer. If you have shaved with a Edwin Jagger then you have shaved with this razor. The handle is a little longer and heavier than the Jagger. Mild and smooth all the way around. The Parker CHST chrome handle silver tip did a great job whipping up the slick Soap Commander. Three passes and I am smooth. Finished up with some Scottish Antique by Andy Hilfiger

The King C. Gillette is a great razor especially for a someone new to wet shaving world. I believe the handle is solid brass. The handle weighs 71.3 grams. I calculated the weight of a brass rod at this diameter and came within a gram and a half if the actual weight if the handle.

Overall a nice razor and one that I will keep around.

Did it shave away the toxic masculinity Danny? Very good comparison pic of the three razors. The Wilkinson sword tto I bought awhile back for 20 bucks gives a great shave also for a cheap razor. Great to see the DE making a comeback.

Happy Tuesday everyone. Up for alternating days this week is the ABB shave soap from Portugal. The soap has lanolin and glycerin so the post shave feel is excellent. The scent is light and pleasant combo of citrus over woody notes. The soap is very easy to load and lather. Three passes and touch ups ended in a BBS shave. Operator error resulted in a few small weepers. A splash of the ABB Chiado aftershave and ready for a busy day. I have an eye exam this morning and taking Mocha to the vet for her annual exam this afternoon. In between the two I will need to get some work done. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

 

Thanks Patrick! I don't feel very toxic this morning and I do not feel the need to mansplain anymore......I better put this razor down for a while.

This was Monday nights shave before I went to stand in the snow and watch my youngest daughter play the final soccer (football..to my European friends)game of the season. Weather was crappy and they lost a close one but they sure enjoyed the match.
On a side note....being one to not give up easily, I went for round deux with the OC and the Treet carbon. This time it didn't tear my face up and I walked away unscathed and smiling like the cat that ate the canary.
