Nice open-comb DAMASKEENE... very hard to find! Nice YAQI brush as well. Are the YAQIs good performers?

This is an amazing razor/blade combination: smooth efficient long lasting BBS in two passes (wtg and atg). IMHO the Hawk V2 w/ Schick P30 is hands down the best shave for the money.

I have not used this one for some time, but must have got the angles right as no mishaps. Needed a bit more work on right cheek, but overall finish quality not bad.

Can anyone tell me if I need the model specific VALET AUTOSTROP strop to function properly or can I make my own out of an old strop and just cut it to size?? 16040685947146191906359197025946.jpg

I also have this Wilkinson Sword set that looks like it's an autostrop and I'm just curious if I should/could use the strop it has given it's quite dry and brittle, can I condition it, moisturize it, soften it in any way? Or should I try and make a new one out of new leather? 16040688435016061404388206518658.jpg

The British “G” Bar is nice looking Razor and feels good in the hand. However, for me a bit on the mild side and I never get the closest of Shaves. I no longer use it in my regular SE rotation as I have other Razors that deliver me a better Shave.

I've been knee deep in my Gem Micromatics for a few months now but along the way I picked up an Occam's Enoch AC razor. Got interested in it after reading some favorable online reviews. This is a MIM razor, produced in China of 316 stainless steel and final finished to brushed matte in the US. I figured for the price what the heck (right at a C note).

Granted I'm only 2 shaves in, but both have been extremely pleasing. Loaded with a Schick Proline, it offers a good balance between efficiency and smoothness. It's a lot easier for me to run around than my Hawk V3 OC, which I have to be careful with lest unpleasant things happen. The Enoch shave is ultra close, nick free and feels nice and smooth all day.

It's just a little fiddly with blade loading but less so than my Vector. All-in-all this is a solid piece and one I anticipate will get a lot of use, owing to the results I've gotten so far. Have a very great day everyone!

Can always guarantee a nice Shave with a 1914 , which is highly regarded by many. Today was no exception and I was pleased with the finish which was superior to that of yesterday with an HFT.
