  1. ouch! How did it happen?
  2. maybe he did the Futterwacken a little too vigorously?
  3. so, this whole "world CUP" thing, I don't get the infatuation.

I mean, when I go to a public restroom, if there's even one person in there, I'll go to a stall - I don't like the idea of even ONE person to see me pee, much less the whole world...

  4. brittle teeth, not so brittle trail mix. What really sucks is that it wasn't even the crunchiest mix I had in the house. I didn't feel it when it happened, but now I've got a pointy bit of tooth that's ever so slightly scratching the inside of my cheek.

Actually, it's a tooth that I've been letting go for waaaay too long. Poverty and such. I knew it was getting worse, but I didn't know it was that far gone. Got 2 other teeth that need attention almost as badly... I wonder if my insurance would pay to have all my teeth pulled and a full set of dentures. They'd be money ahead in the long run, as would I.
  5. Well ya know... you do live near a prevert! The reaction is probably natural by now.

    Yup... soft/brittle teeth tank.

I remember sitting down to eat with family and realizing that something felt wrong with the way my bite/chew felt and finally realized that half a tooth was gone. Didn't know where or when.... Probably ate it as well....

I lost a crown while biting into a pickle. The crown just snapped off.... Of course this was in the middle of a one week intensive grad class and I had to wait until the next week to get into the dentist. If I had missed any of the class, it would have been an automatic failure.

huh... I suppose that is an ill omen, I am going to be doing another one of those courses this week. 7:30-4 with a 5 minute lunch break and 25 minute lunch for the next 5 days. Hopefully I won't have research papers to write in the evening. I have my daughter's rabbit that has to get to the vet today. So with my luck I will have something to work on tonight.

Oh well, have a great week everyone!
  6. Emily Update:

I think I'm just going to start quoting the updates from the site except for when we personally talk or visit with them and have something else to share.

Again, I personally thank those of you who are praying or have prayed for Emily, my daughter is looking very forward to her being home!

  8. Oh no! Its Jim, the Pantless Punster..

    Retweet, Retweet!

Morning all... one day down, four more and a lot of paperwork to go...
  9. another update:

Emily has her neck brace off! WOO-HOO!!!

It has been 6 weeks now since the accident, it's hard to believe it's been that long, and it's amazing to see the progress that's happened along the way.

Sometimes we wonder why God would allow things like this to happen, but I can say that the whole situation has truly served to bring that family closer.

    Again, thank you all!
  10. One? You'll need a whole squadron of those, too... :D
  11. no kidding! :rofl
  12. Alright everybody! Time for a moment of awkward silence:

    "So...uhm, yeah...

    ...sorry about that."
  13. Micah, it can't be that bad, can it?

  14. looks like it's time for a phone call so I can find out more...

  17. Not at all.

    Nothing to find out.

I was just following in Jim's anti-comedian footsteps. Trying to get some moments of awkward silence started. I thought it might turn into something funny, but apparently I botched it.

    So...uhm...

...just ignore the gnome in the corner, okay?
