Yes, there is a threaded insert in there. It is the top off the aluminum handle, hacksawed.

    Thanks, Jason!
My first use of Holy Black and I was happy with the performance. It's described as Old Spice and Gunpowder. Not sure I smell the Gunpowder though.
    Thanks, Danny!
Got my yardwork done this morning and been taking it easy since. I did take two weeks worth of SOTD pics this afternoon because it's likely that that's the next time I'll be home during daylight hours.
    Thanks, Joe!

Didn’t they make those razor cases out of Altoids tins as well?

    Thread hijack.

I posted some pictures a long time ago of my son's 1955 Farmall Cub that he was resealing the final drives on and repainting the tractor. He is about to finish it up and he even restored the runner planter and fertilizer unit. He is headed to a tractor show in a couple of weeks. A few touch up and it will be finished. _IMG_000000_000000.jpg Now back to shaving.

    Nice shave Jason!

I love your solution to the missing cap on the stock handle. Beautiful!

So, it's snow tires season already. I suppose that's just part of living that far north. We keep relying on chance and 4WD here. :)

160 posts and it's the first day!

Took my SEvette on for the morning drive.
A misshap, more on that later.

I did a 3 pass head and face shave this morning.
I'm still rather smooth, amazing what these little tools can do.
I'd like to say no blood no issues, but....

Now on the face and gord I got a great issue free shave.
Nice, clean and smooth just as I like.
But the final rince on the gord I was greeted to leakage, more than I've known of for quite a long time. Not using a mirror I felt the gord and inspected my hand for signs of the red stuff.
    Nothing to my surprise.
I felt around some more, ha! My ear!
Not where you would suspect, around where you shave.
No, not there, but on the outer part of my ear.
Seems while I brought the razor up to position I grazed my ear.
With this open blade just touching any part of the skin incorrectly can cause leakage.
I got the bleeding stopped easily.
No problem, it looked worse than it was, very monor.
But the ears bleed a lot, and being on blood thinners helps the leakage.
Just a little red mark the wife says.
Anyway never to be deterred, I'll use the same razor tomorrow!
    A new blade, as always.
This is the hazards of the job.
    All
    Enjoy!

Me too Joseph. It will use up the Rockwell blades too and I will have a better idea if they are a decent blade or not .

Clint's @clint64 bird is all boxed up and ready for a return trip home.

The bird received a luxurious spa bath followed by a massaging polish. Then a relaxing alcohol rub down.

I appreciate Clint's generosity. The bird is one awesome razor.:happy088: 20201101_175057.jpg

Thanks, Jeff. This is an interesting razor. I reached out to Glen, who did the original hone for me a few years ago and he made some investing comments, most of which I have forgotten, and asked him if he had any facts not he razor. We'll see what he says. I did my own research and cannot find anything on the "Detroit National Cut. Co." But, I love the shave to gives; it's easy to wield; scales, while plain, are nice. The notch makes it interesting to look at. When I hear back from Glen, I will post his response.
