  1. yup... wife was complaining about that this morning. I am shocked that of all people, she knew it was wrong... But all the same, there it is.

Traffic was terrible today. Bumper to bumper from one town to the next and back again... bleh...
  2. yeah, I'm rather surprised I recognized it, BttF was never a big favorite of mine - of course, I liked it, but I've maybe seen it 3 times in my life, besides the occasional short clip on TV now and then.
  3. I think I saw it once and a few random bits and pieces here and there.

Ummm just reading a blog article... Seriously.... "Crawtaters"?
  4. potatos boiled with the crawfish, which means they absorb a big chunk o' seasoning? if so, they're tasty. corn done this way comes out really good, too.

EDIT: so it's a Zapp's chip flavor which is intended to mimic the crawfish-boiled potato. Don't knock 'em until you've tried 'em. Zapp's makes some very tasty chips.
  5. so Mike, ya'll get much rain down there? we got a couple of decent showers, and a few moments of drizzle up here, but not much else, just enough to make steamy humidity (and seriously foul up my allergies)
  6. Just finished Superman II.

    Wow.

I am realizing that I have serious nostalgiamnesia with this franchise.

There's so many plotholes in those movies, I might have to get my front-end realigned. :happy102

Loved every minute of it though. Today was such a sucktacular day that I needed the levity.
  7. sounds pretty good.. Looking at the Zapp's website, I would like to try the Spicy Creole Tomato spiked with TABASCO and maybe Voodoo and of course Jalapoeno. However, at $24 to have 8 5.5 oz bags shipped up here, it is hardly worth it.

Evidently Oprah has hawked them on her show. I can probably find them someplace local then. Its just a matter of where and how far I am willing to go and still call it local.

Edit: I think I will go eat at Potbelly's tomorrow. I guess they have switched in the last year from locally made Vitners to Zapps. However, some of the local Potbelly locations refused to change. Guess I will find out tomorrow... ;)
  8. what a great analogy...or simile...or metaphor....or whatever...:D
  9. yup... Analogies are like sandwiches in that I will be getting one to go with those chips tomorrow.
  10. The current time is <look at clock on your computer, insert time here>
  11. Wow, we're both on here at roughly the same time. I should be working.
  12. same here...wait, that's what I was just doing - time for a break! :happy097
  13. WOOOO! Boy Howdy!

7/12/09....the "hot" batch of Dad's homemade salsa last summer!
  14. Sweet Holy Moses! Is the name of the coffee I just drank an espresso made of.

    Yummy :)
  15. sounds like some good stuff (both the coffee and salsa!)

Update on the crawtaters. Potbelly did have Zapps chips, but only regular. :(
  16. Yes. just finished my Summer I class. I gave away 8 'A's', 4 B's and 2 C's. It was a good class overall but I'm glad it's over. Even a good job is still a job. Now I can look forward to my vacation. The wifey and kids and I are headed to Great Wolf Lodge in a few days. maybe I can kill a wolf with a bow... :happy097
  17. sorry, no such wolves to hunt, the big one outside pees on everybody every few minutes (at least that's what I call it...); although there is the little show inside the main lobby with some critters I would have loved to have seen you kill a few weeks ago...
  18. Must be talking about chipmunks... :D

Morning everyone! Yay, it is supposed to cool off to 85 today. Of course, that means thunderstorms... but at 85 maybe the car AC can keep up.
  19. nah, there's a singing owl/hawk/bird of some sort, and some other animatronic critters.

as for AC in your car...just be glad yours works, even if it can't keep up.

This is the time of year I don't choose the shortest route home, I choose the one with the fewest stops to keep as much breeze coming in the window as possible :ashamed001
