Very nice, James. I wouldn't mind reading your opinion on the Sharp Star and H&S razor. :signs002: Blade feel? Smoothness, etc.

Once again, just a thorough stropping, actually performed last evening.
I did give it about 15 laps on the CrOx linen, followed by 40 on the leather and finally 20 on the Savin strops.
This morning's Bay Rum included Barrister & Mann...you'll be seeing this and the Mike's a lot this month.
There is actually a doughnut ring in this soap. Still plenty of product, but nevertheless nearing the end.
The Thäter 4125/2 with its 24mm (measured 25mm) knot works like a 28-30mm bulb.
The splay is that great. My advice to anyone considering a fan knot, start with this size first.
B&M soap has a magnificent Bay Rum scent, and does NOT contain cinnamon, which soaps
such as Krampert's does. Krampert's and Captain's Choice light my face up and therefore
did not remain in my den. :rolleyes005:
Funnily enough, the Captain's Choice Bay Rum aftershaves were a favorite of mine.
I used them early on in my wet-shaving renaissance and even though I never
made a repeat purchase, I do recommend them as an inexpensive alternative.
Decided to start with my neck on all three passes.
Results: same as if I had started on my cheeks.
I have to say that shaving with a straight razor whilst sporting a Van Dyke,
makes the XTG pass awkward. I find myself experimenting with different grips
and the heretofore "toe facing downward" pass has become next to impossible.
Regardless, Primo rocked out a great shave and avoided all blood shed.
The Meehan Bay Rhum (what's up with the "h"?) is one of the nicest and I will
use it sparingly, because the cost of a bottle has tripled, if not quadrupled,
since the hurricane devastated the Caribbean islands.
Same goes for the Dominica, which is currently and for the foreseeable future, unavailable.
    Quite tragic.

    Thanks, Joseph.
Sharp Stars are good blades. Not quite up there with Feathers or Polsilver SI's in my opinion but the differences are subtle and I wouldn't hesitate to use them on any day in any razor. Truth be told I would say the same about all my blades.

The PO76 has a good amount of blade feel without being harsh so long as I keep a shallow angle. The head is very thin which makes the razor feel maneuverable and coupled with the light weight of the Titanium it's fun to use.
