    Thank you, Joseph!
The knob does stop. It's hard for me to explain. From the point where the blade begins being clamped, to the point where the knob has strong resistance, is a lot. There still feels like I could maybe turn it more, but I'm afraid that would be over-tightening.

Love the pics, Keith, and am interested about the liquid lanolin. Do you always use it when the weather turns colder/drier?
You are blindly headshaving with that Weapon of Mass Destruction, Terry? Yeesh. You, sir, have arrived.
Very nice, Jim. I haven't seen that Heminway product in a bit. As I recall, the scent was excellent, but there were some performance issues? Or was that just Joseph's with the granules?
    Beautiful, Clint.
Yes, live and learn. I am not a huge buffer at the best of times, but some razors excel at it more than others. Sounds like you get more out of the Thater boar than other reviewers. It is a looker for sure.
Love the brush again, Joe. Then again, I like anything that will hold an Omega '49...
If someone names Joe calls a pot of coffee Joe...okay, I'm stopping now. My head hurts.
Just awesome, Danny. Love the polished razor and love that brush handle. Very nice. It even distracted me from the Clubman.
Love the Den shot, Cliff, and am really drawn to all those awesome mug covers. Very cool again! I have one of those 70/30 mixed knots. It took me forever to break it in, but now it is a very good knot.
Some very nice looking gear today, Jeff. Enjoy your party tonight.
Congrats on the new Thater, Joseph. I'm following your Bay R(h)um focus with interest. I didn't even know Ogallala made a double strength option. Does that just refer to scent strength? If so, I hope they didn't inform Pinaud...
Great combo. I have an OT that Evan replated for me as well, Blair. An awesome facelift on an aged star for sure!
You've made me feel guilty today, Evan. I pulled my Red Tip out of rotation and have put it aside for me son to try in a year or so when he is ready (along with an EJ89 and a postwar Tech). Maybe I should pull it out for another shave...darn this one in, one out code...
Love the greens, Gary! The prewar Canadian Tech is such a simple, humble, great razor.
Very cool day with your son, Andrew. A couple of nice shaves as well. I'm nearing the end of the tube of Palmolive Menthol. I don't think I'll repurchase. The shave stick is better, imho, and a bit of M Bomb will take care of the rest.

I got it two years ago and used it a lot then. I just haven't used it in a while. At least now I will know what plate I am actually using. :D

Thank you Jason. I guess I have fairly low expectations with boar brushes. As long as they work reasonably well I am pretty happy. I look at this brush like a custom handle with an ok boar not. However, the last two Semogue boar brushes have really impressed me with their performance.

Thank you, Jason! I was very proud to see him cast his own vote.
This is my first tube of Palmolive and I do notice a difference from the soap stick. When I bought this tube from Connaught, they gave me another one free because they said the box was damaged. Fine with me. :) So, I'll save my decision on repurchasing until these two run out.

My take on it (from someone who has not tried a Thater boar) is that people expected too much. Given the quality of Thater badger knots and the price of the brushes, I think that folks thought that these Thater boars were potentially a huge 'cut above' Omega Pros, Zeniths or Semogues. They probably are just fine but not where people thought they might be given the name and $, hence the middling reviews at times.

You are welcome Andrew! I am guessing you bought it second hand because the directions were in the box if you bought it new

Thanks, Jason. Ogallala has quite a collection of Bay Rum scents. The Bay Rum, Limes and Peppercorns is especially good.
