Nice photo that really demonstrates what a large blade gap looks like. The safety bar, as was discovered with Tom's De-Vette, is superfluous when the shaver has a reasonable technique.

Thank you Andrew. Since I already Myrsol Agua Balsamica which is herbal/fresh, I will just keep pairing the Speick shave tick with it.

Either one of those alone is enough to pull your hair out. :D

Thank you Joseph. I will get the Pils sorted. Much like the Tatara razor it takes some effort to get things right.

She's a pretty good kid, try not to complain. Good friends, pretty responsible, hasn't really dated yet (broke up with the guy competing for class valedictorian so SHE could concentrate on her grades). She'll likely graduate top 4-5% in a class of 1250 seniors. It used to be top 2%, but her senior schedule with all this Covid 19 stuff got shot to crud, classes she signed on for not offered. She's the French Horn player I've mentioned that loves to compete with it.

All that being said, it's the 1% of the time her mom and I tear our hair out. Yeah....some our fault (but more my parents) cause she's always had what's needed to be successful, and sometimes thinks that $ tree exists out in the front yard. Dragging her feet lately on college process & decisions. Now....with the 18 age turn, she said, I don't have to be home at a certain time on school nights, tell you where I'm going, blah blah blah. Mom called a family meeting (to include our 17 year old, much the same). 18 year old is now job hunting :eatdrink013:. There's always more to it....but we're making progress again I think :scared011:.

Thank you Joe. It is definitely good stuff. Probably should use it a little more often.

Sounds a lot like my two daughters. I feel for you. I’ve been where you are. It got easier for me as they grew into adults. Mom still pulls her hair out.

That's what I said I would try to do in future shaves....like maybe North to South instead of the other way around...or one pass one way, the other pass the opposite way.

    That too...

Since I've heard you and Jim talk about the Shave Buddy app, I started to utilize it too. It really puts some perspective into what I actually have on hand.

I'm reminded of my inventory every time I update My Shave Den. This awareness a couple of years back got me on the road to gifting some gear and consolidating soap and aftershave choices.

I also keep a spreadsheet to show my modest blade inventory. My heirs and I should be well supplied. I could even keep @Terry going strong for a month or two. ;)

That's ironic Jason and I'm glad you skipped on the chess set. The ascot is a maybe but the Ayn Rand is a NEIN ! On another note my youngest daughter is now wearing plaid jacket. Funny how things cycle and come back in style . Heck maybe ascots will make an appearance in Canada someday.;)

Unfortunately, I have seen bottles misrepresented as original Old Spice because further inspection showed the P/G label. The ones that I have seen were 2/3 to maybe 3/4 full. The prices for these bottles were like 25 and up. I don't mind paying top dollar for NOS, but some people on these sites are looking for suckers. Frankly, I haven't been on FleaBay, etc, because I am not looking to spend any more money on shaving paraphernalia.
