The heat continues to bake us.
A great shave this morning.

good shaves make the hot days better. At least in my neck o' the woods.

Prayers for the family, please. My aunt finally passed away a few hours ago after a long hard battle with cancer. She had been living with my parents in their care for the last several months. It's both a sad time and a relief for all, if you know what I mean.

Well... everything is up and running, dual booting between Linux Mint 9 and Windows XP with completely fresh installs. I Just have the basics up and running at the moment; however, so far everything is looking good. At least this computer boots. I had to turn on the old machine 4-5 times in order for it to get a completed boot sequence.

ASUS Express Gate is a nice thing; however, with as fast as Linux Mint boots, I am not sure that it is really a needed thing.

Fair is starting up today so will be at the 4H stuff for the next 10 days.. woo hoo? After daughter wakes up we have to round up some of her fish to take in for her aquatic science project (yes Tom, I questioned the whole fish at the fair thing - silly me)

Wife has a conference out of town tonight and tomorrow... So it is just me and the kid (and many pets) until early Saturday morning.

checking in from Mobile...nothing to report. probably going to the beach later to have a look. Probably won't swim, though.
