Prep: Warm shower / Cussons Imperial Leather ~ Arctic Ocean & Icelandic Moss Shower Gel.

Pre:

Cold wet flannel to my face.
Simple ~ Sensitive Bar Soap + Nuage Menthol shaving Oil.
Brush : Wilkinson Sword Boar.
Face Lather.
Soap : Wilkinson Sword Shave Stick.
Blade: Indian Gillette Wilkinson Sword Saloon Pack. (2)
Razor: Merkur 39c.

Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade peppermint Lavender, + eucalyptus, Tea Tree Oil Witch Hazel Mixture./ 4711 ~ Eau De Cologne/ASL./ Nivea Men ~ Sensitive Cooling PSB.

Another early start for me this morning.....It's been a long time since i last used the WS shave stick. As always the performance from this shave stick is excellent providing enough slick protective lather for the full shave without having to re-apply it to my face.

The Merkur 39c slant is such a wonderful solidly built smooth non-aggressive, yet efficient razor and like it's smaller handled sibling each time i have put it in my razor rotation i have had consistently good irritation-free silky smooth shaves with it, today was no exception it paired up with the GWS blade wonderfully making a smooth efficient razor & blade duo.A pleasurable 3 pass + pick ups near BBS shave with no errors to report.Finishing to the shave off with a generous dollop of Nivea Men ~ Sensitive Cooling PSB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

Outstanding shave today. DG's milksteak base is easily top 3 for me, maybe number one. I love this scent, the blackberry is a welcome addition to the bay rum.

The De Vergulde Hand Shaving Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #4 High Mtn. Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Wabbit V3 razor with a Personna Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

On this foggy November day, I chose another lavender soap, with a very elegant scent: I'm waiting for the gas stove technician and you never know how the meeting will evolve...

These photos often depict old objects, there are those who hunt for them!
How can we deny their beauty?
The razor I used today is, unfortunately, a piece of the past.
Why unfortunately? Because in 1961 I was 15 (and I used to shave with my father's Tech) and it doesn't seem to me that so many years have passed...
But they have passed!

I love the things of past times too, but, at the moment, I'm more worried about the ones of the future, since the driver of the bus I'm traveling on doesn't know how to drive and has no sense of direction.
And never before have the words of Merle Travis in Sixteen Tons proved prophetic:

You load sixteen tons, what do you get
Another day older and deeper in debt

We are a people of miners!

Ah...by the way, very satisfying shaving with the appropriate music.

SE SOTD, Thur, Nov05th, 2020

Razor: Everready 1914 with 1st generation blade stops Mfg 1914-17,mid range, very nice razor to use + great audio feedback.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE(7)- excellent blade, very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely & predictable.
Soap: Nivea sensitive cream- nice mild scent + great lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi timberwolf whiskers 24 mm synthetic- excellent brush with some backbone for a good scrub with cloud like soft tips.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water wash after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Witch hazel + Nivea balm +Nivea aftershave.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers =excellent shave with my Everready 1914 with a coated Gem blade.
