    that's reddit for you :D

meanwhile, I had something funny in the "comment" department earlier:

I commented on a Dave Ramsey facebook post, where it was shared that a couple had paid $5300 off their credit card debt in 90 days.
That's freakin' awesome, first of all, I commented about how nice it would be to have $5300 in income in 90 days (let alone $5300 for paying down debt after necessities)....so far my comment has more likes than the rest of the post :D

 yeah but you have to wipe up the lil dude's bottom each time you want some tape. Hardly practical... :happy102

Just like in mathematics, pie has a considerable bearing on my circumference.

Quite the conundrum wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a mystery you have there.

    We will never know.

But I doubt the person who offered him a ride would have done so if he was naked.

    gah. Today sucked hind teet.

First of all, I slept for all crap last night... pretty much the same crap sleep I've had for the last month. Insomnia is getting old. Real old.

Then I get to work and find out that there's some sort of registration that I have to take care of so that some of my teachers can get signed up for a training session on the 4th. I'm not going to be in the office until the 3rd... so that becomes a priority. Apparently, I've been getting emails about for 3 months and have just completely blocked it out, not knowing what it was. Then, the guy from the regional service center shows up, he's going to help me get the old 2k3 server moved over to the new domain, and set up my xerox printers... 1 hour job, tops. Weeeellll... he takes the server off the domain without changing the local admin password first. You know where this is going, right? Yeah, the server was set up before I came along, and I've never had to log in to the local admin account... so yup, you guessed it--couldn't log in. Yay!

"No problem," I say, "we'll just use this nifty livecd with ntpass, reset the password, and we'll be good to go."

    Riiiiiiiight.

Rescue CD doesn't recognize the RAID array. Nice.

Well, Puppy linux to the rescue... after some research, boot up macpup, download some hard to find .pet file and get it loaded up, reset the password and boot up windows...

Finally! Wait, what? I've got to run chkdsk? Okay, let's go to lunch.

At least, the region 8 guy bought me lunch at the Silver Spur.

So, we get back from lunch, get the server up on the new domain, and get ready to start on setting up the xerox printers for printing... wait, what's the default login for the copiers? 3 phone calls later... Superintendent catches me in the hall--"by the way, I need you to get successmaker up and running before teachers come back on the 16th."

That pretty much means a reinstall... last time getting it set up was a day long ordeal.

Now, normally, that wouldn't be that big of a deal, except yesterday, he came to me and says, "I need you to mount a projector in the admin building before the teachers come back."

This meant that I had to order everything, figure out how to mount the projector in a configuration that's different from every other one I've had to install to date. GAAAAAAGH!

Did you know that bic pens will pretty much explode if you throw them down hard enough?

    But wait! There's more!

Back to getting the entire staff registered in Epsilen... look through my e-mails, find the template, ***hand enter*** the staff's info, get myself set up and start the import process. WHAT!?! What do you mean it's missing an entire column!?!

Apparently, the template I was given, was wrong. So, I had to go in and manually add a 9 digit number for each staff member based on campus of course, so it wasn't a simple copy and paste...

All this while, my wife is anxiously awaiting my arrival home so that we can pack and head out for a visit to her family (vacation.), she's getting aggravated because I'm already running an hour late.

Keep in mind, the things I've mentioned here don't include a stack of other problems I'm having, like delays on getting some stuff done because there's a two week wait for electricians and network guys, had a 2 terrabyte NAS crash resulting in the loss of a metric butt-ton of backup data, and various other weird issues.

So, I slide into the drive, ready to put this stuff behind me for a few days, and what do I see in my yard? A poor little kitten with it's eyes matted shut and covered in puss, and it's tail has been cut off. I didn't have the heart to hit it with a shovel and kill it, and I was already running at least an hour and half late. I'm hoping that its mother will find it soon. Jim, Doug, if either of you are going near my house, you might want to stop and see if it's still sitting under the oak tree next to the house, near my truck. It was fairly mobile for looking so bad, but I'm a little concerned about it. If it looks like it's suffering, could one of you guys shoot it for me? I don't have a gun. :(

I just pretty much feel like crap, and I've got nearly 5 days around kids to look forward to followed by a serious round of reach-n-get-it.

    I'm in a piss-poor mood, honestly.

Sorry to unload on you guys, but I needed to get it off my chest.

    tl;dr version: Day sucked.
