    Leresche no 901, Bic Chrome Platinum, shave 5

    Vintage French made razor. The 901 is an unbranded version made by Leresche for third party resellers. Unlike their regular models it is not made to the same specifications being much milder and the open comb teeth rough on the edges. The comb is not very pleasant feeling when shaving but it is not sharp enough to leave scratch marks or break skin. If you use a shallow angle it minimizes the problem but it also minimizes the razors ability to cut hair closely unlike at a steep angle because of how mild it is. End result a BBS finish achieved but it took some work to get there unlike with a standard Leresche.

    Today is a beautiful day even if, behind the fog, the light is quite strong.

    The fact that today's photo is dark and you can't even see the name of the cream was not a precise stylistic choice or an attempt to return to Obscurantism: there are already those who are proceeding in that direction and he really seems to know what he's doing.
    It is due to some camera setting trials: we artists often test new expressive possibilities.

    Plagiarized by fellow maniacs, today I decided to try again a lavender cream I did not even remember what it was like, based on an Austrian plant from Carinthia.
    At least it didn't arrive on a boat!

    I didn't remember it at all!
    I put half a centimeter on the squeezed brush and it generated an incredible amount of lather: I made two passes, but I doubt very much that I could not have made four more.

    You can smell spicy lavender, delicate and pleasant, but what struck me most was the smoothness and the post.
    Someone less fixated than I wouldn't even have used the aftershave!
    Skin is toned, elastic and nourished.
    And at that price!

    I have a lot of things to do and no desire at all to do them, ergo...I won't: Pension Power!

    Simply superb. Yesterday’s shave was wonderful, today’s was just simply superb. Shave #2 with the Merica Razor was an excellent excercise in smooth, comfortable yet efficient shave. The Ethos Grooming soap & splash are just simply magnificent. The soap makes any shave feel luxurious & exquisite providing a supreme level of protection, glide, slickness and post shave skin feel. The a/s skin food splash is just seals the deal. The scent is sort of a cross between mint, fresh cucumber and a slight almost balsamic sweetness. Just an amazing scent. Stellar shave, stellar. A great day and shaves to all....    ​
