    Thank you Tom,

    Really simple, it was on his site for sale and I happened by. It appears to be similar in form to some of the Rigas, it’s a midi and has a blade length like my 7/8 Riga which I really like. That’s what attracted me to the blade.

    My NOS Super Mint Otto Fromm 50 Redhead Solingen Barbers Notch Arrived this Morning..Its a Full 8/8th Not Including the Spine..Its a Huge Heavy Weighted Blade for a Full Hollow..Its a Big Rare Chopper for Sure..It has a Wonderful Shaving Edge & Been Finished on a 20k Suehiro Gokumyo Stone..I Have Never Seen One of these Monster Otto Fromm Razors..:D

    My Next Shave..I Am Totally Blown Away by it..:happy108:

    This is definitely not as pretty as most of the straight acquisitions, but nevertheless, it's my first Wosty. Question: Do these scales look original?

    Interesting, Tom. It appears there were "scale makers" as well as "blade makers" and that the creators of the blades simply outsourced the scale production.

    That is a reason I think these may not be original, based on it seemed Wostenholm controlled the whole process in the late 1800’s.

    Some interesting reading on just how much Wostenholm was tied to the early US market:

    Either way, I always loved the design of those scales and it looks great on that razor.

    My NOS Super Mint C - Mon Blackie Solingen 5/8th + Arrived Today from the USA..Looks as if it Was Just Made this Morning..My Last One I Bought Would Not Hold an Edge Due to Dodgy Tempering Issues..So I Just Had to Get Another One..Its Actually Closer to a Full 6/8th Not Including the Spine..;)

    It was Only Listed a Matter of Minutes as a Buy it Now..Got it for a Real Good Price..Almost Impossible to Get One in this Kinda Nick..Wunderbar..:D
