Great report on the razor’s first run. I believe those Tatra blades are made in the same factory as the Tiger Platinum blades I got for free. It’s a decent blade too. Supposedly it’s the old Astra blade factory (the one that was in use before Gillette bought Astra and moved production to Russia).

I have never had a bad shave with a Rockwell blade whether in a DE or a shavette. Would I purchase them again? I don't know. I want to get rid of my 13 tucks to try other DE blades. Eventually, I will try Feathers, but I would also like to try others to get a real comparison of these blades to make a reasonable assessment.

I see those Simplex razors occasionally for sale and have thought about buying one. I imagine the shave is mild but efficient. Great looking shave, Gary!

I just tried to find the review in his site and paste it for you, but it appears to be gone. Basically, he wasn’t impressed with the lather, but did point out that he couldn’t smell the soap and didn’t factor scent into the review.

A great sounding shave, Andrew. Proraso Green is a nice product and the E3 is a great little shaver. Are Personnas your go to modern blade for injectors? I’m a fan.

Shaving recipe for today.


Prep: Warm shower / Cussons Imperial Leather ~ Arctic Ocean & Icelandic Moss Shower Gel.

Pre:

Cold wet flannel to my face.

Simple ~ Sensitive Bar Soap + Nuage Menthol shaving Oil.

Brush: Vie-Long Horsehair.

Face Lather.

Soap : Vie-Long Shave Stick.

Blade: Trig ~ Silver Edge. (1) (Green cover)

Razor: Parker Variant. (Settings) wtg 2.5,xtg 2.5,atg + Pick Ups 3.

Post:

Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Witch Hazel Mixture./Floid ~ Mentolado Vigoroso ASL./ Aloe Vera Gel.

A new eclectic shave set up to start the weekend.

The subcontinent razor and blade duo was a wonderful smooth efficient match mowing through my stubble with effortless ease.

The Trig stainless blade are made by the Treet co in Pakistan i have used these blades a few times in the past and have always had good shaving results with them today was no exception. They come in two different covers blue & green both of the blades have impressed me with their sharp longevity and smoothness. As to say which is the better blade between them, they are the same blade just in different packaging for selling purposes.
The Vie-Long horsehair brush & shave stick duo performed with brilliance building up a slick protective lather on my face in a short space of time creating enough lather for the full shave without having to re-apply to my face to create more lather.
Once in a while i get what i consider a 'BBS' shave, today is one of those days.. A very enjoyable flawless 3 pass + pick ups BBS shave with no errors to report....Finishing to the shave off with a small dollop of Aloe Vera Gel.

My face is feeling super smooth and smelling divine.

Beautiful Fall morning. I arose out of bed early due to an appointment at a local Firestone for new tires and an oil change. As tradition, for the past 30 year, I have breakfast at a local dinette while the car is being serviced. Just had a thought, I should have invited Joe, @Trigger, to join me. Then again I did not want to impact his beauty sleep. Perhaps another time.

Super smooth shave this morning. The Schlick Type G is such an efficient razor. Hope you have a great day gentlemen.
