YouTube is definitely a good gig for some people. The way ad tracking works on-line these days, nothing would surprise me. Now I'm starting to question all the Williams endorsements from @wchnu on his YT channel.

I decided to use the same setup as Thurs night's shave, except that I am using a differeent brush.
The gear worked well, but I did have some minor operator error. As I landed on my neck, the razor pinched me and I got a horizontal line that was a skin abrasion. I also got a weep doing the Fool's Pass on stache area. They were minor errors and the styptic pen made them disappear without a trace. I was in a slight hurry for no apparent reason and waa kind of on autopilot so that always isn't the best combo when open blade shaving. However, two passes gave me a BBS shave w/o any touchups. After four shaves, the Personna Hairshaper blade is still sharp. Also, I have started to hit the bottom of my soap tub. I still have many shaves until I 69 the tub. Finished with the Stirling Bay Rum aftershave. I look and smell great! Have a great Saturday guys!

 

Last night I went to the bank and got there at 5:37 pm. Unfortunately, the bank was closed. They are to be open until 6 pm. What's up with that? So I have to go this morning. Someone is going to complain about the early closing. Take a guess folks! Lol!

 

Excellent shave Patrick! I've used many cans of that Barbasol over the years.

 

You could just relegate those blades to your strategic reserve stash and venture out to try more blades.

A early morning meeting foiled my plans for a shave yesterday. I simple never got away from my desk after setting down.

That's okay I really like using a straight razor on a couple days' growth. Feels like I'm getting something done.

I was extra light on the touch doing a full 3+ passes. Of course there are areas on my neck where the direction of the passes doesn't change much. More of a 45 degree down one way and 45 degree down the other way, but it seems to help. Ended up with a BBS on the flat areas on my face and a DFS on my neck. The alum was kind so I'm feeling great.

I read that review and also his follow up review that was encouraged by readers that disagreed with his initial assessment. Not much changed in the follow up session, but he did say it's a YMMV scenario. Per @clint64 's observation, he gets the clicks regardless of the opinion.

Happy Saturday everyone! Quick 3 pass shave with the Gillette 40s Aristocrat with a new pack of voskhod blades. Such a great smooth shave. Especially with the lather this TOBS soap provides. Great slickness and cushioning/density. Finished off the shave with the modern Old Spice aftershave. Really enjoy the nice floral notes to this one despite not living up to it’s “spicy ness” and of course the fragrance of the day is. “Parfums De Marley Layton Exclusif.” Has a very nice fresh opening. The dry down goes into a really nice deep, Smokey/ earthy and complex niche scent. There is a very distinctive Oud wood scent to this one also.
