Found some tee shirts for Charlie @wristwatchb. We need to see if we have enough in the Cartel budget for at least one. I'm leaning toward the last one. 20201116_205447.jpg 20201116_205422.jpg 20201116_205404.jpg

That is kind of like our skidder engineers that have never been to the woods and seen one run. :D

When I was a young engineer and knew absolutely nothing about how things really worked, my boss put me in charge of coordinating maintenance work on an extended turnaround. I had plenty of questions and relied on some experienced guys to help me. I found out pretty quick that I had to camp out with the guys doing the work. The days were long, but I learned a lot and developed much respect for the maintenance crews. I remember the mechanics letting me "help" rig and change an 8" ball valve. From then on, I had some real ownership of the processes I was assigned to support. Good times.

The most fun I had was supporting a ball mill grinder. Because it was an abrasive service, it was always being taken apart for maintenance. Really got to learn a lot.

Never did learn how to chew tobacco though. That would have earned me a little more respect. One of my buddies would spit out his chew just as he was coming into the control room and do a hook shot to throw it up on the roof. Every time it rained, the water coming out of the downspouts was brown. :)

@MrEE can I get a ruling on whether this is off-topic? I am rocking a BBS from my evening Trac II shave, so maybe I get partial credit for the post?

as a seasoned mechanic i understand basic engineering and why things are done the way they are.redundancy and so forth.i also know that government wants quick fixes compared to long term solutions, hense engine upgrades and such require planning and research to give power plus durability plus economy..all sounds good.today we get horsepower ratings with half the cubic inches due to engine management, power enhancers etc .still in some cases many things are over engineered creating more problems than ever, and showing the silliest of blunders..nobody needs a 10 speed automatic transmission.the wheel is still round..:)

I'm sorry I got distracted 3 times while reading this post. I also took the 2 hour mandatory annual anti-harassment training today. They explanded the no glaring rule to include men and women. Dating coworkers is discouraged, but gossiping and spreading rumors about office relationships is 100% against the rules. Personally I think they left the gray area in the wrong sex-tion... I mean section... also, all the quiz answers that start with ,"It's okay if nobody complains..." are wrong answers. ALL OF THEM.

Oh yeah. No Charlie @wristwatchb I don't think you were off topic.

    Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower / Cussons Imperial Leather ~ Arctic Ocean & Icelandic Moss Shower Gel.

    Pre:

Cold wet flannel to my face.
Simple ~ Sensitive Bar Soap + Nuage Menthol shaving Oil.
    Brush : Wilkinson Sword Boar.
    Face Lather.
Soap : La Toja Shave Stick.
Blade: Trig ~ Silver Edge. (3) (Green cover)
Razor: Ming Shi 2000s (Settings) 2.5-wtg,2.5-wtg, 3-atg+pick ups.

    Post:

Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade peppermint Lavender, +eucalyptus, Tea Tree Oil Witch Hazel Mixture./ La Toja ~ ASL./Aloe Vera Gel.

    Greetings,

    Early morning cold water shave,

the la toja stick today like the Lea stick, the lather, slickness & post shave feeling it created this morning was excellent which is a added bonus when using the assertive ming shi 2000s.

I can't believe that i haven't used this wonderful spanish sinorita more often...Shame on me....I really like the clean fresh fragrance from both the stick & ASL which to my nose reminds me of dove soap with a masculine edge.

A enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups near BBS shave with no errors to report...Finishing to the shave off with a small dollop of Aloe Vera Gel.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

    Good morning guys!

    N4 Gillette Slim Adjustable (9)
    Rockwell DE Blade (1)
    Semogue OC Super Badger Brush
Stirling Christmas Eve SS and AS
    Whiskers: 37.5 hrs

I decided to use the same setup, but switched razors. I picked the Slim adjustable because I haven't used it in many months and I am going in to work today so I needed a quick shave. I got a BBS- with only 2 passes and no mishaps. Double splashed this wonderful juice and am ready for today. Have a great day guys! 20201116_192424.jpg
