Very pleased with this morning's shave. I continued with the tobacco combo(Sir Hare Alpha soap/Stoylin Gentleman A.S.), but the Jayaruh 59 was the brush of the day. 0:25 to load the Sir Hare onto the Jayaruh This time I had no problem penetrating N. Porcupine Alley-there was no threat of pain. From that point on, I knew I was in for a fine shave, at least for the first pass. And I was indeed! Second pass good, too. As for Cactus Nation, sometimes I do much better at handling the north area than at other times. This was one of the "much better" times. The Stoylin Gentleman is the perfect A.S. for the Sir Hare Alpha soap(Course I'm sure it is for Stoylin Gentleman soap too, chuk yuk yuk). There was no Tabac on this Tabac Tuesday, but plenty of tobacco, just the same( I don't have Tabac). Out Of This World Excellent.

 

Great shave, Paul! I have Stirling Gentleman soap and pair it with Soap Commander Justice aftershave, which is a tobacco and bay scent. Gentleman aftershave is probably a strong scent!

 

That it is, Perry......quite potent, as I described yesterday. And that Sir Hare Alpha is the same, too. About that Justice-what is the clove persuasion(if any)?. It would be interesting if the tobacco part reduced(or neatly blended in with)a clove scent. Thanks for the compliment on my shave-you probably know by now the locations of Cactus Nation and Porcupine Alley(I got a little silly in your time away from here).

 

Justice has no clove at all in my opinion. Tobacco and bay leaf are the scent elements; not related to bay rum in any way in my opinion.

 

Oh I see....Bay LEAF gives more of an actual bay scent....I've always asked myself "Why does the clove scent have to be part of bay rum? Actually, it was written in some forum that the clove scent is VITAL to bay rum, and he went into the scientific explanation. All I could say, frankly, was "OK, if you say so" (while throwing up my hands the way a referee calls a touchdown).
