I think you will find that Feathers are 'much ado about nothing', Joe. They are excellent blades, and are sharp of course, but they are not that much sharper than Nacets or a few other DEs. Personally, I find thicker injector or artist club blades are sharper to start with and if you fly through those without incident you will have zero issue with these.

    Haslinger Schafmilch Rasierseife Shave Soap
    Evan's MrEE Aluminum w/Simpson Trafalgar T2 synthetic
    J3Customs Kamisori
    Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Star Jelly
Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements aftershave & cologne - Malbolge

First use of the Haslinger....whipped up with a trusty Simpson synthetic knot loaded in @MrEE Evan's awesome brush handle. Overloaded the brush...probably a bit much. This was a bowl lather day (most of mine are)....very nice wet lather for the first pass, but oddly dried/dissipated while shaving a bit more than I'm used to. Could have been that I was moving slow with the J3Customs shave hatchet....was definitely making sure I didn't open yesterday's oops, and didn't want another. For the second pass....I rewet the brush tips, added about 5 drops of glycerin to the shave bowl, and went for a 'beat it like it's stolen' lather. There....that's what it needed. Nice smooth dense but creamy goodness for the second pass. Moving the Kamisori faster this round, as most growth was gone, and I remembered to mark the 'oops' area for a 90 degree swath to the set down error from yesterday. Third pass was right neck/jawline only, ended up with a nice DFS+ overall. Left some on the table for the left cheek. Oh well, great shave overall with no shenanigans. Small application of Star Jelly followed with a hefty dose of PAA's Malbolge. Great wifey approved fragrance!

PAA's Scent Profile: Tobacco Absolute, Citrus, Anise, Musk, Patchouli, Burnt Sugar, Black Pepper & Benzoin Resin.

Hope everyone has a Wonderful Hump Day!

Yes, that's where I got the L'Orange Noir pucks. There are a few others at Italian Barber as well, Patrick. I think both of the Vetivers as I recall. I haven't tried either in soap form, but do enjoy the Fresh Vetiver in splash form.
