Sorry to hear about the shedding, Joe. ‘A decent amount of aftershave’? :happy088:
Very nice, Andrew. GIT is such an iconic scent, I can see why you enjoy the dupes.

...I am tempted to have a warm water shave when it's cold outside. That's going to be the acid test for me when the weather breaks..I'm almost 8 months in now with the cold water shaves, and i intend to keep it going.

I am a cold water shaver throughout the entire year. The same holds true with shaving using menthol soaps.

    DE # 300

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Merkur 37c Slant
    Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock (Green)
    Brush: Semogue Torga C5
Lather: Old Cahaba Shave Club Brocha
    Aftershave: Old Cahaba Brocha
    Additional Care:
    Barbero Alum Block
Thayer's Witch Hazel - Aloe Vera
The Merkur 37c gets the honor of shave # 300 for the DE’s as it is the first razor I purchased for myself over 25 years ago when I reestablished a consistent wet shave approach.

Another fabulous three pass this morning with a Fougere type soap and splash. I am ready for another day with the Yutes followed by virtual parent conferences. Following, the number will drop on the avatar to 28. Yeah baby!

SOTD FRIDAY MORNING, NOVEMBER 20, 2020

This morning I decided to shave with my 1976 Gold Bicentennial Edition Schick Krona. I shaved with a regular Krona for over 50 yrs until it broke. They are excellent shavers, and this particular safety razor did the job. Coupled with my C-Mon Special, new Sapele/Resin handled Pro48 boar, and MWF the shave was spectacular. Alum check revealed no heat. I feel cool, velveteen smooth, clean, refreshed and ready for the day.

RAZOR: C-Mon Special 11/16 (Mug), 1976 Gold Bicentennial Edition Schick Krona (Dome)
    BLADE: Feather DE
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
    BRUSH: Sapele/Resin Handled Pro48 Boar
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Humphreys Lilac WH and Osage Rub.
