What is it with teachers looking for "free worksheets" and getting infected with crapware?!? Some of you guys are in education, can you recommend a good site for resources? I would love to be able to point my teachers to a handful of sites and say, get worksheets from here only.

Just sent this e-mail out to the staff:

Sorry... oddly enough, you aren't the only one to ask this week. Unfortunately, with so many school policies, most good teacher work is actually owned by the school system and not the teacher. So a lot of teacher work can't actually be posted online... at least not legally. That leaves a lot of freeware (often low quality or questionable extras) that isn't actually used in classes or commercial worksheets.

Rose Hulman (private engineering school) offers a website with some science and math resources... http://www.rose-prism.org/moodle/

    Now for something different...

Small world - I went to Rose in the early 90's until I switched from computer engineering to an education degree. I decided that Scotty wasn't really an engineer in the sense that I thought he was....

OK... so making fresh salsa but decided to use pre-minced garlic. I didn't look carefully at the jar. 1/2 tsp is a clove... not a teaspoon. Oh well.. double garlic strength salsa. Vampires better stay clear of me the next few days!

Considering that the basic recipe is for 3 cloves and I meant to put in 5 (reality = 10 cloves!)... Yeeeeha!

On a completely related note, I wonder what ever happened to Sir Mix-A-Lot.

It'd be fun to see some of those guys do a 20 year reunion tour.
