    Good morning guys!

    Straight Razor Shave # 225
    10/8 Max Sprecher 1/2 Hollow Barber's Notch
    Catie's Bubbles Tuxedo Knot
    Tabac Shave Stick
    Pinaud Clubman Classic Aftershave.
    Whiskers: 41 hrs.

    Well I got my first delivery today that included the Fine Platinum SS and AS with the Tabac. Later today, I am getting another delivery of my Cella, Arko and a tuck of Feathers. Anyway, I didn't want to wait for the Cella because I wanted to shave this morning and try the Tabac shave stick.

    This was my first time using a shave stick and any Tabac product. I have to say that the stick was easy to use. I wet my face and rubbed the dry stick on my face. With a damp brush, I facelathered and the Tabac exploded into a voluminous, slick, shiny lather. I have to say I was really surprised by this lather's excellent quality. As far as the scent, I can see how someone can interpret it as the inside of grandma's purse, but to me, it smells like a unique masculine scent. I really can't describe it any other way, but I like it so I am chosen by Tabac.

    This was my 20th shave with the Mad Max and she really did an awesome job once again. Two passes delivered an error free, BBS - shave.
    I didn't get the matching aftershave so I decided to use Clubman classic. I was surprised that this scent and the Tabac gave a sweeter fragance. Again, this is my nose so ymmv.

    One more thing, I did smell the Fine Platinum soap and aftershave. Again, the scent strength on the Fine soap was weak but I did pick up a clean scent from it. The Fine Platinum aftershave was masculine and it wasn't overpowering. I never tried Creed Aventus so I don't know how close this dupe is to it.

    You are welcome, Jim! It's one of the inherent qualities of this hobby. We are not satisfied with one or two razors, but a whole lot more. Also, it is difficult to choose from a vast array of razors for any particular day and coupled with the same problem with soaps, aftershaves, etc.

    Great shave hatchet shave! I don’t know, Joe? I'm worried about your sense of smell! Maybe it’s time to see an ENT if you find the smell of Tabac a “unique masculine scent”? And pairing it with Clubman? As my first wife was fond of saying when perplexed with another’s behavior!!! Caramba carajo!!! I never saw you as going over to the dark side! ;)

    Tabac smells like a big ole bucket of German Goodness!!

    I like Clubman Musk with Tabac. Classic Clubman is always good too.

    Thanks, Clint! I'm worried about Joe’s neurology! He found Tabac to be “uniquely masculine” and even went so far as to pair it with Clubman! Heaven forfend! :D

    A super smooth shave was provided by the 1912 Eveready. I always manage to get a stellar shave with this razor. Super smooth and comfortable all around.
