I see you are sporting D&G "The One" but in the EDP strength. I think the EDT and EDP smell the same but the EDP is aimed at lasting longer. I own both and I happen to be lucky that the EDT lasts a long time on my skin and projects well. So, I really didn't need the EDP. Some people though swear they need that EDP formula to get the longevity and projection. This scent is a testament to how fragrance works differently on different people's skin chemistry. I think the amount of oil, sebum and other components of skin secretions are at play in this difference. D&G The One is a great scent.

***EDIT - Is the Taiga razor available to buy anymore? I can't seem to find any place to buy it online when looking around. :(

    SUNDAY'S SHAVE

Bath Soap - Mäurer & Wirtz - Tabac
    [IMG]
Razor - GEM 1912 Travel Model (Sold to me by Jovraljr.)
Blade - Personna GEM Stainless Steel Coated *4th Shave
Lather Brush - Everyman Jack Synthetic
Lather Bowl by Freida of the Etsy shop ASfreidaturns
Shaving Cream - Mäurer & Wirtz - Tabac
    Aftershave - Mäurer & Wirtz - Tabac
    Deodorant - Mäurer & Wirtz - Tabac
    Cologne - Mäurer & Wirtz - Tabac

My newly bought Tabac grooming set is ready to deploy on Sunday in the late-morning. Looking forward to this one.

***EDIT - 10/10 for this set. The shaving cream should be talked about glowingly in shaving circles because it's possibly the best industrial-mass produced cream I've used and it on par with artisan creams. The slickness is a '10' and the protection is very, very good, borderline perfect...and the post-shave of the cream is, well, 'creamy' feeling. The scent is very good too. The aftershave has what feels like some moisturizing properties then when it dries has a kind of 'film' that firms up the skin. I put my standard Advanced Clinicals balm over the top of it to retain that silky feel to the skin. I have to think that once my skin oils replenished that my skin would have been super smooth anyway without the balm. The deodorant has some scent-strength to it that reminds me of Old Spice Classic deodorant in how it can pretty much be a cologne by itself. And the bath soap is good, but a bit drying, so I had to moisturize my skin because in the Fall and Winter my skin dries out badtime.

I have to say that Procter & Gamble should take notes on how to treat their long-time customers of Old Spice because 'this' Tabac set is how you make a product lineup. Tabac does its fans right! (despite being a big corporate brand)

Why didn't you guys tell me Tabac was so good? I'm 4 years late to this party for sure.

It’s a wonderful scent and you can’t go wrong with either one. I prefer the EDP not based on it’s performance or staying power as they (EDP & EDT) last nearly the same on my skin. But, rather I get a bit less of the grapefruit & citrus opening in the EDP with a deeper mix of the tobacco & amber in the juice. Both lovely, I just like the scent journey with the parfum more than with the toilette.

The Taiga is a mystery as of late. I know there was going to be a delay announced some time ago that HomelikeShaving wanted to get a couple other razors out from their stable. They did announce a plan to create a second run shortly afterwards, sometime between September-October but, that time has come and gone. I honestly don’t know if it’s been pushed back or on hold at the moment. One would have to consider with the world wide pandemic and such, sourcing materials has perhaps put a dampener on proceeding with production for them as well as other specialized razor artisan manufacturers. Hopefully they produce some in the near future. It’s an extremely wonderful razor that shaves with the best currently available..... :happy088:

    Shaving Recipe For the day.

Prep: Warm shower / Cussons Imperial Leather ~ Arctic Ocean & Icelandic Moss Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Simple ~ Sensitive Bar Soap + Nuage Menthol shaving Oil.
    Brush: Wilkinson Sword Boar.
    Face Lather.
    Soap : Haslinger Aloe Vera.
Blade: Euromax Platinum half blade. (2)
    Razor: Yaqi Katana.

    Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade peppermint lavender eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Witch Hazel Mixture./Superdrug ~ Forest Fresh ASL. /Wilko ~ASB.

    Greetings,

    A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

The Haslinger soap provided a wonderful lather for my shave in a short space of time...I really like the Haslinger soaps i have tried so far i consider them another "no bells and whistles shaving soap". The basic plastic packaging wrapper with two sticky labels is nothing elaborate to look at the scent of both the aloe vera & Schafmilch to my nose have a mild clean soapy scent, performance wise both of these soaps are fantastic the slickness protection, and post shave feel are amazingly good, which i consider the most important qualities in a shaving soap or cream.

Another comfortable 2 pass + pick ups near BBS shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Wilko ~ ASB.

My face is feeling silky smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy Sunday ladies & gentlemen.

Christmas Season, Day 3. Spicy Sunday for the win. Old Spice is another fragrance that reminds me of Christmas.

Prep: Hot Shower and Bloom/Lather Building Water
    Soap: Stirling Spice
Razor: Blackland Blackbird Brass (OC and SB)/Merkur Mustache and Eyebrow Razor
Blade: Nacet (2)/Merkur Mustache and Eyebrow Blade (2)
    Brush: Zenith Boar
    AS: Old Spice (US)
    ASB: Stirling Spice
    EdC: Old Spice (US)

Just a rich and thick lather that is the signature of Stirling was in the bowl today. I couldn't get enough. I was actually contemplating a 4th and 5th pass.

I hope everyone is keeping an eye out for fat men in red and white suites.

    It's obvious a valuable/attractive thing is discontinued.
And this probably explains why the politicians production is endless!
