You've heard of dogs that can sense when their owners are about to have a seizure or some such medical event? My cat has gone and gotten someone when I've gone into diabetic seizures (aka insulin reaction), at least twice. On one of those occasions, I had gotten up early, felt a bit shaky, so I went to pour myself a glass of milk. Next thing I know I'm in the ER. Apparently the cat had ran upstairs to get help. And yes, ignored the gallon of milk I had dropped and spilled all over the kitchen floor.
That is truly amazing!! Stories like that make it hard to NOT believe in a higher power of some sort.
especially if it's a cat that does something for the good of [slash]mankind[/slash] anything other than itself
Nothing like JoAnna's story, but my cats have always been willing to warm my lap on a cold winter day.
I bet the cat was just wanting someone to put the milk in a bowl so it did not have to drink off the floor. Glad it got someones attention.
We always had cats growing up because my stepmom liked them. So they don't bother me; I like Siamese the best because their attitude suits me. Kind of a take no sh!t, "you lookin at me" thing. These days we only do dogs however because the wife cannot tolerate cats. Hell she barely tolerates the dogs....or me for that matter!
Honestly, I question as to why I have a cat right now. She is the biggest pain in the ass I have ever known. I can't let her in as if she sees me open the door she runs away and plays hard to get. I have to open the door and go into the other room so she can come in and hide. She always gets hungry about 3am and jumps up on me and lets me know. 20 plus pounds of cat sitting on my chest squeezing the life out of me gets tiresome. Last time when I wouldnt wake up, she bit my nose to get my attention.
Getting really annoyed with a lot of stupid plays on the game tonight. Packers deserve to lose when they get a penalty every other play. Bears deserve to lose for not capitalizing on all the Packers stupid mistakes. I swear the only that makes this game livable is a pack of Dragon's Milk.
