  1. There's no denying that you are our resident Tech Expert, Gary. Some day it would be interesting to get your thoughts on the shaving subtleties between the different models. :eatdrink013:
  2. I didn't know that you did a 5 pass shave with a straight Evan. When I started straight shaving , it was 3 passes. Presently, it is 2 to 2.5 passes and I am good to go.

  5. Nice shave Gary! T/H is a top shelf item. How is the performance compared with the less expensive soaps?

  7. I said that poorly. I do 2.5 to 3 passes with my straight. I've been trying to reduce that to 2 even. Figured I would try a second XTG pass and see how it feels based on Keith's experience.

Generally for me fewer passes means less irritation, but if I go VERY gently maybe it could work. I'm willing to try.

  15. Good morning all!!.
So November is in the books and a fun but busy one it was.
Thought I'd chime in on a focus I've been doing here for the last few weeks.
    Well since before November.
I went barless ;) and at first trying a 3 pass head and face shave every morning.
Then to change it up a bit I decided to practice the one pass shave every time.
Well this took my skill level to a new hight.
See, to get a good one pass shave, you have to know the way your beard grows like never before.
Still using a barless razor with a new feather blade.
I also decided that going against the grain was no option.
For the most part I go across the grain.

This morning a razor that's in a class of its own.
    A barless slant by Ryan @PLANofMAN .
A one pass shave that rivals some 3 pass shave with lesser tools.
Both head and face are smooth and clean.
I don't spend as much time at the sink as before and that's kinda nice.
    I went Prepless too.
So I wake up, stumble into the bathroom, lather up, shave then quickly shower.
I've changed my whole routine just for the heck of it.
In about 25 minutes I can go from looking like a cave man to a modern man, dressed, fed and ready to walk out the door.
No rushing, no hurrying, no problem.

Think I'll do this for a few more weeks.

    All
    Enjoy!!!

First outing with the Leyming. It is a cold one in Alabama and 2020 being what it is I reached back into 2019 for a Summer scent. :)

The Leyming really surprised me this morning. The razor has a touch of blade feel and I would compare the shave to a Karve solid bar E plate. It is that good of a shaver. I need a few more shaves to really get it dialed in. Three passes this morning and I am smooth. The only quirk I have found with the head is the slots are little loose so you have to pay attention to the blade alignment. The head pairs up nice with the Rockwell handle. A little Pinaud Clubman Aftershave Lotion and I am ready. I have a message for all of you Clubman haters - :prrr:. :D

Stay warm and have a great day.
  17. I do not know if y'all had seen this yet. Fuzzy @wchnu gives a shout out to the 30DC. Deep down inside he really loves us. :D
