    I don’t know if a fave software combo and a gold plated New count as Decadent, but it sure was a nice shave. Evan does excellent work. First use of the Astra SS as well. I’d say I find the Platinum version smoother. I’m not perfectly smooth, but not too far from it.

    I do not like this cold weather stuff at all. The MdC Vetyver seemed like a great choice for such a cold morning. The earthy smokey scent is strong of the puck and lasts throughout the shave. The OKU is a wonderful brush with excellent backbone, flow through and face feel. The OKU paired with the MdC is near perfection for a vetiver junky like me. Three passes with touchups caught the baby with ease. A splash of Fine Fresh Vetiver was the perfect end to a wonderful shave. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

    Simply wonderful pic and combo, Clint. Is it me, or does that brush not make very frequent appearances? I like pairing that splash with Desert Vetiver as well, it compliments very nicely.

    Nice two pass shave on a day 3 blade.

    My soaps will not be DECadent this month as I only have MWF and CO Bigelow SC in rotation now, but will get to rotate through my razors.

    really dumb question but good at the same time. Could I use a beard oil to lubricate my safety razor. the ingredients are relatively natural and the viscosity of the oil isn't too thick in my oil.

    Thank you Jason. You are correct I have not used the OKU brush often. By my count today made 10 times for the year. Fine Fresh Vetiver is one of my favorite aftershaves.

    Decided to do a focus this     month. I am eschewing the Decadent aspect of December
    in favor of using up this wonderful shave cream.
    I might even keep the jar, if I am able to remove the label.

    Interestingly, as I work my way through the jar, the yellow tint has begun to fade away.
    The scent is still the same as well as the performance.
    Today, I took Keith's advice and performed a 4 pass shave.
    I added another WTG pass and the smoothness of my skin is noticeably better.

    Finished today's shave with some Dickinson's Witch Hazel (I'll be glad when this is used up)
    and a half-dozen spritzes of Aramis Tobacco Reserve.    ​
