Schick N1, Vintage Schick twin blade, shave 2
    [IMG]

I used this blade in an 80s l1 variant prior for the feel test now onto the n1 to ascertain if they are the same razor in finish. The answer is an astounding no. This shave was smooth but sharp, sharp enough I gave myself a few weepers. This blade is as sharp if not sharper than the modern Japanese Schick II twin blades and in this razor gave an even closer shave than I normally get with modern twin blades. I need to try this blade next in a Schick adjustable. End result BBS finish; level light, tight and hair is out of sight.

With a twin blade yes, single edge no. My take is this razor is designed for twin blades not single edge ones is the reason why. The only drawback to this blade is they don't work well on a couple of days growth. The twin blades clog easily and don't cut well in that case and require you use something else to remove excess hair first.

I know of another injector that is supposed to work well with twin blades you might have unless you moved it onto a new home. A Gillette twinjector which was designed specifically for twin blades. The modern twin blades are pricey right now but you can find vintage Schick or even Gillette Trac II twin injector blades every now and then in unopened packs at much more reasonable prices.

The twin injector blades in the right razor are the most cart like shave without cart problems like ingrown hairs, irritation and short blade lifespan.

    TUESDAY'S SHAVE

    Perfumed by:

    Razor - Merkur Futur
    Blade - [IMG] *3rd Shave
    Razor Stand by RV Shaving
Shave Brush by Doug Korn's Workshop
Brush Stand by Desire Metal Works
    Preshave Oil - Lather & Wood's "Unscented"
Shave Soap - Razorock "Son of Zeus" Vegan Formula
Soap Bowl - Vintage Mikasa Mediterrania Sugar Bowl circa 1970's
    Aftershave - Fine "L'Orange Noir"
Post-Shave Balm - Advanced Clinicals Anti-aging Hyaluronic Acid Cream
Deodorant - My Pit Butter "Orange"
    Fragrance - Terre d’Hermès EDT

Fantastic shave. 10/10 rating. 3-passes. No need for clean up. Super-smooth. I didn't put on any balm. Just splashed on the Fine Aftershave and allowed the oils from the pre-shave and shaving soap residues to stay in place. If every shave went this well there would be nothing interesting about shaving, nor anything to rave about. Just another great shave from the Futur. I forgot to post this either last night or this morning. So, I just posted it up now.

i believe you sent me a late 60s gillette injector loaded with a twin.but it could be the single edge blade version razor..:)
