Such an iconic razor, the E type. Guaranteed awesomeness. Well done salvaging the soap, Patrick, and love seeing your distressed work on the brush when you show it off as well.

Thanks Jason! I was afraid the soap was ruined but after a good whipping it unified into one consistency. The brush has started to show some wear now and I think it looks pretty good. That was a tough job doing all the carving but well worth it.

As long as it's a 10" x 24" or larger metal lathe, but I bet Clint @clint64 is going for one of those wood turning thingies.

Very nice, Andrew. You have so many classic splashes, a great collection! The Alt Innsbruck is another one in ‘the list’ whenever I get the current inventory down a bit...:shocked029:

Thanks Jeff! It a unique item in my collection and I like using it the 5 or 6 times a year that I do.

Like most sentient beings, @clint64 will no doubt prefer making dust to making filings... he is burdened by the responsibility associated with opposable thumbs.
In all seriousness, I am super envious of what you accomplish in metal, Evan. So original and precise. You are a true artisan.

Thanks, Blair! I'm narrowing in on the LE design. I like this one, but it's designed for a 30mm knot which seems to cause issues for some people. (not naming names, but they like boar knots.)

Very nice, Chris. Love that custom brush. Iirc from the Turners Thread, you are a wood turner yourself?

Very nice brush again, Evan! Only gold, stainless or rhodium this month? Yup, that counts as Decadent...looking forward to what you show off.

You need to wheel in one of your mobile shaving carts to start it off, Bill!
On an unrelated note- love the wood window trim and door.Very nice.

    Thank you, Jason!
I have to thank @Primotenore and @wristwatchb for their subtle enabling of my Alt-Innsbruck purchase. It is some really nice juice. :happy036:

Thank you, Gentlemen, for the nice words after a long day.
Although, I made the day even longer by reading through all 28(!) pages tonight. Is this some sort of record for day 1? Yeesh...
I added a full page of responses myself, so I should just keep my big yap shut.:happy088:

I’m right there with you Jason. The EVO synthetic knot slightly edges out the Trafalgar synthetic knots, which slightly edges out the CH2 synthetic. They are very similar & awesome quality, just slightly different stiffness/face feel, which also correlates to working better with different soaps/creams. Now...handle, I prefer the CH2 handle. Particularly the loud over saturated color versions.

I remember Clint’s post about rating the three, in a different order, and was enabled. That’s one of the fun, and educational parts of following along with the 30DC. Clint liked (hopefully I remember this correctly) the CH2 because it’s stiffer. Not my preference, the CH2 example I have works great on hard soaps, but aerates the lather into flying mini particles/bubbles while I bowl/face lather. A bit much for me. I probably need to use it more.
