Went ahead and ordered the new 'puter. Luckily, I have a few friends who live in Delaware. They saved me a couple hundred dollars in taxes.

Tay, get another girlfriend. They are everywhere, no use making yourself sick over some broad.

Jim, Netflix is good. We just watched Lucky Number Slevin. Odd, but good.

Tay - As old and cheesy as it may sound, this if for real Brother:

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, is real. But only for a season.!

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Borg (the theologian) is Anglican. Unfortunately. I think he fits better with the Dalek approach to life.

Of this, I am convinced. I went through a string of bad relationships. In addition to the Hindu girl and the Buddhist (not trying to deride those religions, mind you, they just aren't the norm in Distraction), there were a couple of bona fide witches (and I don't mean that in the "My girlfriend is a real witch" sort of way, either--we're talking "Praise oh holy Earth Mother Gaia, tell us the way through these personal belongings we have gathered together and burned" sort of way)--I swear, only I could find the two witches in the Bible belt. Did I mention one of the witches was a redhead?!? At any rate, my point is-- while I might have had some fun along the way, I certainly had my share of heartache and distress over/with these women--especially the redhead. I very nearly married her. And I made some super-stupid choices that lead me into and out of their company along the way and it hurt every time. Where did I end up? Married to one of the sweetest Christian girls I've ever known. I would never have been ready to even consider going out with her if it hadn't been for the stuff I went through with the others.

tl;dr: Sometimes the heartache and pain caused by bad relationships/breakups is to help us appreciate a good relationship.

Even tl:dr-ier version: Redheads are fun, but kinda scary. :D

great synopsis.........and even greater witch stories ya'll, if you ever get the chance to hear Micah tell the story/ies.
I don't mean read the stories he writes - though it's true Micah is quite gifted in the winding of a yarn (and he tells good stories, too!), as many of you have already read some of them; but to hear them told, with the inflection and emphasis that only verbal communication can deliver......let's just say, THe WARNING! is in full effect, don't be taking a drink near a computer screen and/or keyboard, and definitely don't be driving (oops, little too late for that one, eh? :D)

    TL;DR: :happy102:happy102:happy102:happy102:happy102
