    Now that's one that's probably going to stay. You would have to pick the one modern DE that sets the bar for awesome! :rolleyes005: Now if you were to say my SS Hawk V3 I could give you an incredible deal on that boy. It's a great AC razor. I could give you an even better deal on the Green Aluminum Hawk V2. :rolleyes:

    I don't think he can plate in red. :D

    I would like something with Evan in the name since he has been a big part of these razors and does amazing work. Got any ideas?

    By contemporary, Jim, I was referring to those times. I never read People magazine. Even these days, if it isn't a politician, I probably wouldn't know of them.

    Turns out I was wrong, Paul. Jim (@jluc) identified the guy i thought was Paul Simon as Steve Rubell, the owner of Studio 54. Just googled him. Don't know who the other guy is.

    Never read People magazine myself either. I just remember Studio 54 being quite the news story back in the day.

    Wednesday's Shave

    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Clubman Classic Vanilla

    The German-made Personna blade proved to be another excellent pairing with the German-made R89. Sharp and smooth, the blade is very similar to the American made version. After I built a well hydrated Cella face lather, it was smooth sailing.

    Three easy passes provided a comfortable and efficient shave this morning with no irritation or mishaps. Clubman Vanilla made an excellent closer.

    I think I can use one brush, one razor and one type of blade for the rest of the year. I'm not sure about cream/soap, we'll wait and see... Today's shave was with Wilkinson Premium razor, Derby Premium blade, Isana synth brush, TBS Maca Root & Aloe cream. It went quite well.

    i am grateful of the offer Jeff.i love the modern aspect of the silversmith with it's elegant looks..the fact that it's a fine shaver is also a bonus..i am glad you are keeping it,that confirms my attraction to one as well..:)
