Excellent four pass shave Jim. Perhaps in the future I will pick up some Harvest Moon. I have had my eye on it for a while.

South Africa had the 7th highest covid19 cases internationally until summer started when it started going down when it started going back up in Europe. Now its picking up here again even with the higher temperatures, i shudder to think how bad it will be come winter, luckily there's still a few months of relative normality left until then lol.

Lovely photo and shave, Danny! You are fortunate to live in the heart of BBQ country! I’m jealous! I’m sure those ribs will be great!

Still catching up. This was yesterday's shave . It was superb. Note ....blade was carbon steel. This razor is not as agressive as my MMOC but it is sure a beauty .

A successful Throwback Thursday(I always like it when I can give positive grades for TTs.) 0:30 to load the Jayaruh #59. 1st pass went well, although I did get a cut in an awkward location-jawline right side. Luckily it didn't become a serious problem. 2nd pass helped clear it up(as did the Stephan Bay Rum aftershave). As for the rest of the shave itself, all was fine. N. Porcupine Alley has become a piece of work for my shaving, but perhaps that's a good thing for me, as it helps me settle into a "slow-it-down" persuasion. Nice work down at Cactus Alley. I seem to do better at coming down from the sides than going up the middle. I think that is due to concern I might drive over the Adams Apple speed-bump, and THAT would be dangerous. Going up the midde of Cactus Nation has thus became a "mind game", but that too could be a benefit in the long run. With the aftershave, I got a bit more of a clove sensation today than at other times. I did shake the bottle first-perhaps I won't tomorrow and see what happens clove-wise. Since I was able to save the jawline cut from further damage, I'll give this a Super Duper Excellent. Have a nice day, fellas :).

I'm glad to see the Mountain Rain-seemed to me he didn't have that one anymore.

I love this scent Paul. Hence it was pouring rain here yesterday. This bottle was sent to me by Jason @jtspartan .

Thannk you Patrick-I had to re-do this, as just as I was nearing the end of the original, I hit something on the keyboard that killed off all but the first sentence. Hate when that happens. But yes, I do try to make my reports into an essay(like @Primotenore likes to do :).

    BAUME.BE~~Thäter 4125/2~~Dovo~~SMN Sandalo
Focus continues with the BAUME.BE shave cream.
The Thäter two-band knocked the lather outta the park.

Fan knots work so much larger than their bulb counter-parts.
    Someday, I am going to try a flat-top. :eatdrink013:
Today's lather was exceptional, as I have come to expect from the soap.
    IMG_6632.jpeg

Pre-lathered my face, before going to the strop.
Not sure why I don't pick up this Dovo more frequently. It's one of the larger blades in my stable.
The edge, when purchased was originally honed by Lynn Abrams and a very nice edge, indeed.
I have since just refreshed only going as far back to a 10K Naniwa/16K Shapton.
À la @Keithmax I once again performed a 4 pass shave, concluding with a repeated
WTG pass. I must be getting better at using a straight razor, because I am noticing
improvement, albeit subtile, in the neck area.
What used to be barely a DFS area, has improved to a DFS++.
Dickinson's Witch Hazel cleaned off the residual soap from my skin and
I completed the shave with a healthy splash of SMN Sandalo aftershave.
Super-secret addition for extra-special sandalwood results:
A small drop of Meehan Sandalwood cologne behind each ear. :happy088:
