Two completely different soap/creams and two completely different brushes, Patrick. Keep grinding away with that Omega, it can take it!

    December 4th
    Razor: Timeless Ti Slim SB
    Blade: Feather NHS (1)
    Brush: MrEE Monster
    Pre-shave: PAA Cube
    Soap: PAA Malbolge
    PAA Galactic Witch Hazel
    PAA Star Jelly
    AS: PAA Malbolge

    Good morning!

New addition to the collection arrived yesterday. Beautiful polished Timeless Slim Edition in Titanium. Pressed into service this morning. Good amount of blade feel without being harsh. I would compare the blade fee to the Blackbird. I experimented with angles and found riding the cap to be optimal for me. Three passes for near BBS. Nearly silent alum. Terrific first use!

    Happy Friday!

If that is the same Bay Rum smaller puck from a few years ago, Paul, then it was probably from Adam @Drygulch , who sent a whole bunch of us on here a puck of either that Bay Rum or Key Lime at Christmas of 2017. Very generous indeed.

    Thanks, Danny!

Wilson is plugging right along. He started kindergarten this fall. I think he likes school okay. His favorite parts of the day are recess and lunch, so that seems pretty typical. :)

Same here. I use the 1/8" attachment. SWMBO is ok with it, but not the Mr. Clean look. I was grey long before I started thinning on top. Now, you can see where the horseshoe will eventually settle at...:(

I am one of the unfortunate ones that ran into this problem across two pucks. PIF'd the latest puck with 2 lathers on it and the ceramic container to Paul. He's having better luck than I.

I'm pretty convinced it's a hard water (or high particulates) issue. Our tap water can range from 100 ppm (on a good day) to well over 600 ppm (usually in the summer months). About a 20 year old house, and we're less than 1/4 mile to the water tower. And...I'm too lazy to use bottled or distilled for shaving soap when I have so many other shave soaps/creams that don't run into this issue. Definitely a YMMV problem with MWF shave soap. MWF bath soap, zero issues, but then it doesn't need the quality of 'shaving lather'.

Oh I don't know about the better luck than you part....after my first two shaves with it, the lather is forming on the sides, not on the soap itself. But maybe that's normal?? I have it up again in my "Lazy Susan"..should have it set for use late next week

That's too bad, Blair. Nice PIF idea! I'm not sure about the quality of our water. Maybe I can look that up. It's fairly hard.

I have not been to the barber since February. I guess I have save approximately $15 every three weeks. (I take the barber clippers to my head every three days.)

    Today's Shavette Fu:

Such a cool razor, Joe. You have some very original gear. Is that scent original, or is it a dupe? I know CB does both...
Sounds like a great shave, Perry. Love the pic (with an appropriate song choice) as well. I think this report is probably the nail in the Parker's coffin?
Beautiful, Clint. I load very similarly to you it appears. Time on the puck/tub isn't as important to me as how the product is saturated into the knot. As I've said many times -but is probably decent advice for some newer folks-I eliminate not enough product from the equation.
Enjoy your Friday and I hope it ends at a decent hour.
Love the look of that Occam's, Danny! I need to get the Mother's out and give mine a polishing, apparently.
Sounds like Big Red is a functional tool and not just a show stopper as well.
Sounds like you're starting to whittle a few down already, Jeff. The Rex sounds like a keeper for sure. That original EE handle has become one of my absolute faves too.
Beautiful pic, Gary. Is that a US 'Crat? One of the very few North American Gillette razors you have kept, I assume?
Very informative post and pics, Joseph. Great minds today on the Floating Head as well. Fyi, If you really enjoy the Tom Ford, Fine's Fresh Vetiver is a very nice dupe of it.
The Hensons are multiplying, Pierpaolo! How do you find the comparison between the medium and mild?
That brush will get better and better as the tips split, Patrick. I would humbly suggest that you relocate the knot into one of your own beautiful handles as well...:eatdrink047:
Congrats, Jim! The razor is a stunner. Do you always get the stands when you can? Do you store them that way?
    Enjoy your days off.
