Thanks, PierPaolo, I may look for some on this side of the pond! Is the scent long-lasting? :)

A fine shave this morning. There is hardly any soap left in the MIDDLE of the Central Texas Shave Soaps Grandpa's Barbershop-it's all around the perimeter. Thus I thought I'd try tilting it a bit to do the swirling. I soon realized I didn't shake off ALL the water from the loading work(0:25), as it was spilling out. Perhaps that is another reason the reviewer called CTS a "Stoylin Ripoff"....already a good amount of water in the soap. Anyway....once things got settled, I got a lot of the soap onto my face and neck to spread around. I did go a little too hard. with the razor, getting 2 Knicks, both on the FIRST pass(shux). Second was fine. With the Knicks coming so early, it gave me type to hope the cold-water rinse and the A.S. would help calm them, or even get rid of them. Eventually they did. That was good. Face and neck were clean and clear enough after the first pass I was tempted to end then , but I went for the second anyway. And there was also enough soap for a 3rd, but I stopped at 2. Perhaps I should have taken the third to help make sure the Knicks were gone. Post-shave was good ol'Clubman. Love it (as I always have since my first go at it during my real early shave years). Out Of This World Excellent.

I know you're heading towards retirement, but I need help with the acronym. I'm in year 17 of teaching and can retire with lifelong benefits after 25 years. I *may* already be counting toward that time. ;)

Great shave, Joe! 6/8 is definitely my sweet spot! I remember doing that with my boys, most notably my oldest, Ben, now in his 50s. He’s actually responsible for getting me into straight shaving! It's a wonderful time, enjoy him. As you well know, given this is family #2 for you, they do grow up quickly! :happy088:
