I won a FlairTip in a forum auction here. IMO, the most intuitive DE I’ve used.

    Saturday's Shave

    Eversharp/Schick Hydromagic
    Schick Blade

    WSP Olympus Shaving Soap

    WSP Olympus Aftershave

I've been a cold water shaver for at least a year and a half. Initially, I went to cold water shaving due to reading reports that stated it would help guard against irritation. It seemed to help in that regard and I also enjoy the invigorating feeling of the cold water. Well, this morning I decided to test out a warm water shave. I started off applying a wet/hot washcloth to my face. It did feel very relaxing, but I immediately could feel the blood getting closer to the skin. In theory, that may make the skin more susceptible to weepers. During the shave, I did not feel much difference though. After the shave's completion - same result. I believe that during the period of time using cold water, my shaving technique has improved dramatically. Conclusion: Whether I use a cold water or warm water shave prep, the result will be the same. Since my shave routine appears to be in good working order, I don't think water temperature makes a difference for me at this point. I will remain a cold water shaver though. :)

3 passes with the Hydromagic provided a very comfortable and efficient result this morning with no irritation or mishaps.

I'm beginning to have my doubts about my NB21 plan. Getting low on my Sandpiper(Stoylin)A.S. Also some Clubman concerns. And speaking of Clubman, I'll need a barbershop soap next year to go with the Clubman A.S. We shall see.

Great shave, Andrew! I tried cold water a long time ago and never went back. I just use the coldest water that comes out of the tap. That varies widely throughout the year. However, the colder the better for me.

Very nice shave Andrew. I am an ice water shaver as well. That being said, I do like the feel of the warm lather that comes from my brush scuttle for time to time. The

Just thought it’d be fun to illustrate what I thought of when I saw your shave.

The tool actually looks like a lot of fun.

Great job with the ‘dropped toe’ ATG move under the jaw. Wish I could more easily do that one.

I'm a cold water summer, hot water winter shaver. Most of my work is outdoors. It helps with my mindset for the day ahead.

Thanks Bill! I have to thank Eric Latta of Adventures for Wetshaving for that move. Otherwise, I wouldn't get that area super smooth. At first, I thought no way I could do it. However, I gave it a try. With that move, I have to use small, deliberate strokes or it would be quite messy. Lol!

Hahaha! Yes I liked both videos but Joe's zipping that axe over his face WHILE narrating like it was nothing was really amazing. I was expecting some early mayhem action.

Your video was filled with useful information and interesting thoughts but I never once worried you were going to lose an ear. :D you might want to work on that.

Awesome late shave today. The Cella is an interesting soap. I thought is would be similar to the Figaro and or the P160 but it is not. The Cella is a very soft soap. So soft that it should be put in a tube. I did not realize how soft it is until I transferred some to a container to load from. It does whip up easy and produces some very nice thick pasty lather. It is a soap that just works. The Rapira is a blade that I think I am going to like. I need to spend some more time with the blades but as I shaved with it I was thinking that the blade is a touch above a Voskhod. First run with the Game Changer 0.84 SB bottom plate.....oh yeah. It is a toned down Jaws but still just as efficient. I like it. If anyone is hunting a stainless steel CNC razor that will not break the bank this is it. Still loving the Dscosmetics titanium handle. Finished the shave off with a splash of Cella.

Hope everyone is having a great day!
