Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Yardley ~ English Lavender Bar Soap + Wilko Men's shave Oil.
Brush: Unbranded Turkish Boar.
Bowl Lather.
Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Uber/Superlather: Derby Lemon Shaving Cream + (Grated) Arko Shave stick Dettol Original Anti Bacterial Soap, & Palmolive Classic Shave Stick.
Blade: Mers ~ Super Shave X Platinum. (2)
Razor: Parker ~ 55SL Semi-Slant.

A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

This morning i fancied a Turkish theme shave so i went for my Arko Derby & Palmolive Classic shave stick endings Arko & Derby lemon shaving cream which created a wonderful concoction of slick protective super lather for the full shave.
A enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups CC shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Wilko ~ Lemon & Black Pepper Body Butter.

My face is feeling silky smooth & smelling divine.

2020-12-06, Sunday

In the greyness of a winter Sunday, I was undecided which soap to use: I smelled some of my favorites. The choice fell on a particular lavender.

I slept little and 'felt' the skin, so I used a preshave oil 'chosen' because, by now, it is the only one I have.
The smell is not exciting, but I don't use a preshave for the scent.

A couple of words about the dispenser: the blue anti UV-rays glass is certainly a winning choice which means a careful and reasoned selection.
However, I'm not so convinced about the roll on head: for it to work well it must be kept upside down, however, due to the principle of impenetrability of bodies, it must be tilted. Ergo, it is all a matter of moving it to wet the ball and then pass it on my skin. Or keep the head bent: a simple solution, but only practicable by those without cervical arthrosis!

And I made the maiden lather with this brush, which worked quite well.

I like the Mühle: it is as mild as the E. Jagger, but the handle is thicker and can be held it better.
Even the Kai did an impeccable job, however, with the German razor, it was not a perfect marriage!
I have a very smooth face, but I didn't 'feel' the shave and it left me unsatisfied. (By golly: it was a perfect marriage!)
I will keep the Kai for my vintage Gillette’s.

I have not felt the alcoholic AS and the balm gave me a gummy face.
The Iberian lavender has a lot of affinity with the soap fragrance but with greater intensity.

I am pretty satisfied...
