Thank You Gary, and it's in great shape. I hand buffed and clean things up and it's better than what I thought it would be. And it shaves like the others, superb..

There were a couple of pitting marks on the cap that were buffed and between the compound and the buffing wheel, it left black residue in those place. I hand rubbed with a polishing compound and partially took off a smidgeon of plating but nothing to be concerned with. This razor will shave. The bit of plate missing gives it character. A totally worthwhile buy..

 

very cool..7 oclocks come up for sale less scarce than gillette ones..

Thank You Gary. But the Nacet's made into the 70's weren't made as nice as this, were they?

 

no sir. they followed the design of the later tech series razors ending with the zamek capped ones i believe..

 

I suppose all of the Gillette stamping dies and presses were melted down for scrap and without a thought they'd ever be worth anything. These razors were a simple process composed by damned sharp engineers and made by the thousands for pennies. Those were the days my friend..
