The Pils looks like a beefy razor Clint. Super finish on it. Great colors with that brush in the mix!

Super image Perry! Love the piano background. Nice setup.

Some @jluc worthy vintage toned ambiance happening there Danny! Super shave combo.

Such great posing and bokeh with that image Pierpaolo! Excellent tobacco Tuesday setup.

Not bad Paul. Too much after shave? Nah....

Awesome odiferous shave, Blair! You are the TSD Kamisori King! Sorry about the weepers, but it sounds like it still turned out to be a great shave! :)

Very nice, Barry. One of the great and most interesting parts of the thread for me is seeing all the software from other continents that I don't have any knowledge of. That splash sounds pretty cool, I like a good Tobacco scent for sure!
Amazing as always, Jim. Happy Tobacco Tuesday. Love the close up of the brush. I can figure out how the top 'grid' part was done easily enough, but am stumped as to how the bottom distressing was done. Might have to do some research. A little 'back at ya' enabling is definitely going on...
Love that brush! Until I tried a beehive, I didn't think I'd enjoy the shape, but boy was I wrong. That Paladin is one of my faves as well. Such beautiful work. Even though I know it isn't close to being new, I just feel like saying 'Congrats!' again...
Love the piano background, Perry. Is that your main instrument?
The Ozark Mountain sounds like a winner for sure.
That razor head looks like it was made for the Karve handle, Danny. I think you should leave it just the way it is.
Another great razor battle, Pierpaolo. I'm off to read your account of it on the Henson thread.
Sounds like a good, quick shave, Joe. Have fun at school.
Glad you like the brush, Jeff. The Sapele will continue to darken nicely into a rich patina as it ages as well. Stay safe there...
Great pics and interesting notes on the Floating Head. I do start mine by riding the cap, but do find the sweet spot pretty instinctive. Your pic of it today without the blade is a good visual for why it is called a Floating Head as well.
Sounds like a very unique scent, Blair. Congrats. The razor is stunning, and the pic with the brush is amazing. You are a pro, no doubt.

You got me on the brush but I'm happy to have it.

    Thank you, Blair!

Thank you, Jason! My main instrument are any of the low brass. I took several semesters of piano in college in class settings and in private lessons, but I did enough to pass the sections that needed it. I can still play a little bit and can play enough to be effective in my classes, but that's about it.

Great shave, Joe! Good first outing with a Feather DE! You’re right; they’re very sharp, too sharp for many. I really like them now, but had a bit of a rough go at first. They are an order of magnitude sharper than most other blades (excluding BIC and Nacet). I love them in my Seki AS-D2 which was designed for the blade, and in a few other safety razors! You’re still the man! Using a DE shavette is something I never plan on doing! The fact that you do it as a regular practice demonstrates that you’ve earned the title Primo uses in referring to you, ‘Sensei’. Enjoy your shaves and your day, my friend! :)

No, I never drilled a hole for the pin and its too late now. The steel has been hardened. I wasn't going to finish that blank. I actually broke my CNC machine so I ground the practice piece to meet my goal of finishing a usable blade by the end of the month. The blade in my VAS had 20 shaves on it and I didn't think it would last much longer.

MAYhem was a very fun challenge.

I'm thinking this year I'll make a simple wedge blade, send it to @9nein9 so he can rivet it to a butterknife, and send it to @jtspartan so he can shave with it.

Might require a few triple dog dares.

Great Occam’s shave, Jason! The only Fine soap I currently own is Snake Bite. It’s a great soap for me over the warmer months, but I find it too drying during the cold times. I always pair it with Cremo cooling balm after to mitigate the drying effect on my skin. Enjoy your shaves!

…Sounds like a plan, Evan! You can always wrap it in leather, nylon or fabric and use it Kamisori style a la Blair! I look forward to seeing it. Drilling the pin hole prior to hardening should also provide you with some scale fabrication practice! Great stuff, Evan! Enjoy your shaves! :D
