Thank you, Blair. I believe you already have a SV soap or two, so if you do enjoy this soap base I cannot recommend the scent enough. It has rapidly vaulted into 'fave' status for me. The best price around is at topofthechain, in my experience.

Fine, fine shave Evan! I just used my Christmas Eve soap and aftershave for my afternoon shave. It smells so great!

Have just the SV FA... And I'm aware of my condition now. People are starting to stare/talk about this enabler's disease I'm susceptible to.....

    Good afternoon guys!

    Omega Pro 49 Boar Brush

I shaved this afternoon because I know that I will be in school tomorrow so I won't have to shave until tomorrow evening or Fri morning. I decided to really have a wet, voluminous, slick lather to get ready with my 2nd try with the Feather. I only needed one pass to get an IBSS+ and decided that was good enough for me today. I didn't get any crimson reminders and irritation was not present. I really had to soften my soft touch so that I would have a drama free shave. The next time that I use this razor with this blade will be a a 2 passer. I am impressed with the Feather blades. The only downside is that they are expensive. I can deal with it because I am not buying a 100 blade box of them. Lol! Splashed on the fine matching aftershave and I am happy with this shave. Oh yes, the pic has been recycled. Have a great rest of the day, guys! 20201207_220751.jpg

Heeded @Keithmax's advice today. No open edge. Little insomnia last night (18 year olds, bah!), and then a watchful text from my father's home health care taker early this morning. Phone call to Dad...all good, but wifey and I will visit late this afternoon. Too much on the brain however, pick up a mindless easy tool written all over today's shave.

Awesome face only lather session from WSP's Formula T version of shave soap using @Jayaruh's #288 brush design with the spalted wood and synthetic knot. Should rotate this little guy in more often. Great size, shape and love the feel in the hand. Incredible volume of face lather and slick loft. Loaded the Rex Ambassador with a fresh Astra SP (@Primotenore, those freakin wax dots are a pain...). Dialed Rexie to 6, rode the bar for a swipe to remember/dial in the optimum angle, then just a blade ride for the remainder of the first pass (WTG), and again on an out to in (XTG) second pass. One extra swipe along the lower right jawline/neck, and baby's in the bag. Overdose of the matching aftershave....and ready for the remainder of the day.

Hope it is a good healthy day for Everyone!

Super shave, Blair! I agree that it is good to have a mindless shave with a safety razor.

Look at the finish on that razor! Amazing, Jim. Astra Planeta? Have a good day at work, then...
Love the Dogwood resin/ wood live edge brushes, Joe. They have inspired me on a few pours, too. Is that one of the Fine lather bowls? Do you enjoy it?
Great pic and description, Perry. The Hussy has the same injector head as those before and after it, right?
Love the Christmas Village. At this time of year, if you stand too long in one place in our house, MrsSpartan will build a Christmas Village around your feet....:happy097:
Sounds like a good shave, Danny. I doubt that Big Red could 'hide' behind anything, save perhaps a Semi...
    What a pic!
I'm a little late to the party today, and I'm not sure if you've gotten your test done yet, but if you haven't- I trust things will go well, Clint.
Lovely 'gold' day, Pierpaolo. I had no idea that Gillette ever made a Slim Twist in gold...also had no idea they were making them into the 90s...perhaps only in Europe.
I'm enjoying your Crat focus, Gary. Awesome looking collection. That French sign is pretty cool, too. Do you have it up in your Den usually?
Very nice, Jeff, and very cool what you've been able to do with getting those Prolines to work in a Ronson.
Great pics, Joseph. I tried to describe the reasons behind the Floating Head name, but you just did it way better and more succinctly. The Gelled knot pic was excellent as well. A veritable fount of info today.:happy088:
Love that brush! Have you been pouring many resins lately, Evan?
Congrats on the razor, Andrew. Sounds like it is already dialed in. I'm intrigued by the reputation of the R41 as well and bought one of those stainless DS clones earlier this week.

Good call on the safety razor, Blair! Too bad about the lack of sleep compounded with an unsettling text. Hope all is well in the long run. I just used up a WSP Mahogany bath soap. Awesome scent!

Thank you, Jason! I'm not sure of the answer regarding the injector head of the Hussy. I can compare it against my other ones later. You've piqued my interest. It doesn't shave any differently than other injectors around that letter, other than the handle being totally different.

We love the Christmas village. It's scenes and buildings from A Christmas Story (hence my avatar right now). It'll likely be featured in more SOTD photos this month.

The KVS. It is the one that looks like a Karve handle. I wanted one of the few funky/unique ones, but they were unavailable at that moment.
You 'enabled' me to look, and then the multiple good reviews got me to pull the trigger.
