  4. Same shave as I plan on having all month. However, this one was not quite bloodless. I caused a very small nick on my neck. I think I was careless when I approached my neck. I can't complain, as the razor is sharp so I didn't even notice until I was wiping off my face.

All that was needed was a cold water splash to finish up. It was another nice, but quick shave this morning before work. Im 15 hours in and the shave was good enough this morning that I will likely skip tomorrow.

I miss using the Tech (or clone) and once went the better part of the year only using a triangle tech to prove to myself that an aggressive razor wasn't needed for fantastic shaves. They could be pulled from any razor as long as you take the time to learn them. I will probably go back to the SE for the next shave, but it has been fun using the DE razors again.
  6. Hey Chris, it still a super Solingen shave!

  9. Very nice Chris. Small weepers...no biggie.

Love the insightful thoughts Dale! Quick shaves get it done too.

  10. Sounds like dad is in a good place and is being looked after. I tried to get my parents to do something similar but they would not have it. Glad he is doing good.

  15. I’m more thinking along the lines of @Terry’s barless shaves, but only have a handful of DE razors, and not ones I’d sacrifice. The Enoch SE is a perfect candidate with its bar design. About 20 minutes with the Dremel, and that’s including polishing/smoothing the work.

  16. Thanks Danny! Just made a resin handle tonight. Burning the candle at both ends as I have to work in the morning. Ugh :(
  17. The R41 is certainly one of the most efficient razors I have ever used... Second only to my OCMM in terms of safety razors. I daresay that my open blades are the most efficient...

    Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower / Cussons Imperial Leather ~ Arctic Ocean & Icelandic Moss Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Yardley ~ English Lavender Bar Soap + Wilko Men's shave Oil.
    Brush : Omega S10018.
    Bowl Lather.
    Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather : Palmolive Classic Shave Cream.
Blade: Mers ~ Super Shave X Platinum. (4)
    Razor: Parker ~ 55SL Semi-Slant.

    Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade (~Winter mix~) peppermint Lavender, + eucalyptus, Tea Tree Oil Witch Hazel Mixture./ Denim Original ASL./ Aloe Vera Gel.

    Greetings,

Today i went for a hybrid combo of 'Modern/Old School' shave set up.

The dependable Palmolive classic shave cream provided a slick protective lather in a short space of time.... When ever i mention to family and friends that 'I still wear Denim' i get some vague interesting looks and comments....Not that this concerns me in anyway,, the younger chaps that i work with don't understand the greatness of Denim which is a pity, but it's their loss if they can't appreciate a classic 'Old School' fragrance...A enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report....Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Aloe Vera Gel.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling very 'Old School' divine, but i love it!.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy your Day ladies & gentlemen.

  20. Wonderful shave Chris. Glen, @gssixgun, does some fantastic work. He has worked on a number of my razors and I have picked up a few from him as well.
