Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE (10) Excellent blade, very sharp, great longevity and smooths out nicely & predictable. Soap: Colonel Conk Bayrum, mild scent with excellent lather qualities. Great soap & a Bargain IMO. Brush: Yaqi tuxedo knot 24 mm with black marble handle, excellent lather creator with cloud like soft tips with some backbone. Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on cleaned beard area. Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. Post shave: Witch hazel + Ogallala bayrum & Sandal wood + a dollop of Nivea balm. Results: CCS,DFS,BbS + no irritation + no weepers = excellent shave with my MMOC and coated Gem blade. First use of the Feather AS-D2. Was expecting a mild razor and it was but surprised me with such a smooth good shave. Am thinking this will replace my edwin jagger de89 and my merkur 34c. Used a Personna Lab blue blade on third use. Will have to try a feather blade next time with this razor. Greetings, Today i went for a hybrid combo of 'Modern/Old School' shave set up. The dependable Palmolive classic shave cream provided a slick protective lather in a short space of time.... When ever i mention to family and friends that 'I still wear Denim' i get some vague interesting looks and comments....Not that this concerns me in anyway,, the younger chaps that i work with don't understand the greatness of Denim which is a pity, but it's their loss if they can't appreciate a classic 'Old School' fragrance...A enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report....Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Aloe Vera Gel. 2020-12-10 Thursday It's just a little while before the weekend when I can do what I do every other day: it's great! And I keep trying the Finest. I've made an amazing discovery: it's a brush like any other. Today I loaded the tips only, which continue to be stingy, but already less than before, and, anyway, pleasantly. Whipping gently, using only the tips makes a nice lather. I think I would post this on my FB profile if I had one. This makes me sad: I don't know where to post it and.... restrain from giving inappropriate suggestions!
