    Thanks, Joe! My bride has been teasing me that I look like a cutthroat! My response was, it comes with using a cutthroat razor! :)

    Great looking safety razor, Clint! The exposed tabs would be the end of shaky old me! Enjoy using it my friend! Keep checking your O2! Days 4-7 are when problems arise according to Sam! I’m praying for recovery for you, my grit! :)

    It seems that your wife is more at ease with your straight shaving. I hope you tell the doc that said that you shouldn't straight shave. If you did, I wonder what he would have said. Not that it would make any difference. Lol!

    My kids are trying to talk me into moving into a local facility that sounds quite similar, Shannondell. It’ll be a cold day in Hades before I move out of my house. They’re not locking me up! If I lose my marbles, then fine, but until that day, uh uh! :)

    Good evening guys!

    Straight Razor Shave #228
    10/8 Max Sprecher 1/2 Hollow Barber's Notch
    JR #386 Silver Tip Badger Brush
    Stirling Bay Rum SS and AS
    Whiskers 36 hrs

    I decided to shave tonight because I was told that I may be called to work tomorrow. Since I am using Mad Max in between my double duty shaves, I might as well enjoy the shave without rushing. The JR # 386 is my top gun in my den. Jayaruh makes great brushes and if you own one, then you know it is true. Stirling Bay Rum soap is awesome as far as the scent and performance. Did 2 passes with minor touchups just shy of BBS without any mishaps. Applied a nice amount of aftershave and I am happy with this shave. Have a good night guys! 20201210_155703.jpg

    You have a wife that's a lot younger than you. What is she supposed to do? Visit you like you were in jail? SMH. By the way, the name of the facility rearranged would be Del Shannon. Lol!

    Thank you Jeff. I’ll keep checking the O2 levels. I’m hoping to get the test results soon.

    The tabs are covered when the razor is assembled. The cutouts are for easier disassembly.

    Drop by posting time: Still trying different pass routines, the last two shaves used the same soap combination, B&M with MWF. MWF has been hit and miss with me but I do like the aftershave feel so..... I scraped some soap of the MWF puck and added it the mix with B&M... The resulting lather was outstanding. I was inspired by watch some of my fellow 30DC friends mix their soaps.

    Thursday shave: Put a Feather (2) into my Janus Toggle and the shave order was XTG, XTG2, ATG, WTG. The results were A+ for irritation and A for closeness.

    TGIF shave featured a big 8/8 Osiris with a 3/4 grind and a sweet edge. I did the traditional order, WTG, XTG, XTG2, ATG. The results were A+ for irritation and A for closeness.

    Great looking Tech shave, Jason! How do those Permasharps compare to Voskhods, Nacets or Feathers? I’ve never used them. :)
